A father accidentally shot his 9-year-old daughter in the stomach while cleaning his 22-caliber handgun, Vermont State Police the little girl has been hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Police said McKenzie Ezzo of Poultney underwent surgery and was in guarded condition at the University of Vermont Medical Shooting. The shooting happened on Sunday morning at a campsite in a wooded area off of US Route 4 in Ira. Police said the father, Randy Babcock, was cleaning the gun. A lot of news about accidental discharges everywhere these days, I wish her quick recovery. What does it take to remove the bullets before cleaning even if the SAFETY is off. Those security operatives with our Mr President should always be conscious I warn them. |
