It's a known issue in windows 10 (on some laptops tho)
For the encarta issue, try reinstalling it and make sure you have .Net 3.5 installed

I faced that with Synaptics on hp sometime. Try updating your TouchPad driver. Also there's a way out of it from registry modifications but I've forgotten sha.

If you're on the latest TouchPad driver then downgrade to the 2nd latest

I'm not even on the latest o. When I upgraded to windows 10, the scrolling option stopped working the next day so I decided to install an upgrade. The update i installed was not even the latest.. It worked but stopped again after I rebooted the system

I understand what you mean. At each reboot all your settings would go back to default abi? I suggest you get the latest version.

i tried updating my windows 8 with media center to windows 1o home,after going through the processes and waiting for the pc to boot and start i get ther error message that my window installation failed after loading 100percent .....i used a cd software tho ....what could be wrong?

Why don't you download the ISO directly from Microsoft website or any other one DAT is online and den install directly( without making a bootable drive since it is windows

Thanks for the support Computerboy, i found another Windows 10 pro iso and it worked. All necessary drivers was installed, updated Display and got "Sleep" mode et al!

But i couldnt get the Fingerprint to work. I have installed the driver but if i install the "HP Client Security" and "Protect Tools" which are the parent programs, one complain of "require Netframework 3.5 or later" when i have 4.6.1 installed and the other gives "Error 1721"

Any idea on how to get over that?
