The Federal Government has announced the immediate suspension of the recent recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Vanguard reports.
The recruitment exercise was conducted on the directives of the immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan, between March and April this year.
To this effect, the NIS headquarters has instructed state commands and heads of training institutes to recall newly recruited persons sent for training at the Immigration Service Training Schools at Orlu, Kano and Ohoada.
About 18 job seekers died and many were injured during a nationwide recruitment test conducted by the Nigeria Immigration Service.
The applicants reportedly paid the sum of N1 000 as application fee.
Millions of job seekers had thronged venues of the exercise, mostly stadia, for the exercise.
Seven were confirmed dead after a stampede at the National Stadium, Abuja, venue of the exercise in the Federal Capital Territory.

Just like that no concrete reasons. How can these help the citizens, pls don't use the hatred this govt. have for the previous govt. to destroy the hope of common man. Is high time govt. weight the impact of each decisions b4 implementing it because many lives depends on govt. decisions.
