Sources have said that the PDP are frantically prepping lackluster witnesses after the realization that much of their testimony would not hold up to scrutiny.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is the second Respondent in the Akwa Ibom State Governorship Election Tribunal, on Wednesday September 9, suffered a setback on its second day at the Tribunal.

When their case was called Mr. Tayo Oyetibo, the
counsel to the PDP, informed the Tribunal that they have no witnesses for the day because the persons they expected to call in their defense are yet to arrive from Akwa Ibom State.
He requested that the matter be adjourned to Thursday 10th September, 2015.
The other parties did not oppose the application.
However Mr. Dayo Akinlaja submitted that the
second Respondent should not expect any extension of time due to their inability to present witnesses. The Tribunal agreed with him, and restated that whatever the Respondents wish to do must be within the 14 days period allotted to them for defense.

However, reliable sources within the PDP revealed that the PDP actually has other witnesses in Abuja, but that the Party was in serious confusion following the shameful outing of the first four witnesses they called on Tuesday. One witness practically supported the
case of the Petitioners, Mr. Umana Okon Umana and the All Progressives Congress (APC), that there was no election in the State.

Sources have said that the PDP are frantically prepping lackluster witnesses after the realization that much of their testimony would not hold up to scrutiny.
The Tribunal hearings, which has attracted national attention, will continue on Thursday September 10, 2015.

PDP would clearly have won akwa Ibom governorship elections fair square.. .. But why rig?
Maybe because corruption runs in PDP DNA and they don't even know when to stop...
. If u are going to rig at least be smart about it.... But no not PDP

Rubbish journalism! How did PDP suffer set back if they can still bring the same witnesses within the 14days.
