Dictionary defined Destiny as that to which a person or thing is destined, a predetermined state, a condition foredained by the divine or by human will.
I am a christian but i have never for once believed there is a destiny for everybody which is predetermined by God, im not against the bible that says God knows you and what you will become even before you are conceived. With this context i can say that God already knows who are destined to be rich and those that are destined to be poor, he knows those that will be leaders and followers, the thieves, the assassins, the ones that will make heaven and those that will rot in hell (though i dont believe in hell because i have not been there and not yet seen who have been there to give accounts except those attention seekers).
However, the bible says God almighty creates each and every one of us in his own image and he sees that everything he had made was very good (suitable, pleasant) and he approves it completely, Gen 1vs 27-31. If he creates us and we are good in his sight, i DO NOT think God will want to create us so we can live a pre-destined life of sufferness, anguish, poverty, early death and life which will ultimately lead to hell. I do think of Judas Iscariot as a disciple of Jesus, is he pre-destined to live his life that way? Was he created for that purpose? And most people will say Judas is an hell candidate, so my Question is did God created him so that the poor guy can go to hell? A cultist that was killed by other fraternity was he destined to live his life that way? Im sure the parent of the dead cultust will be consoled with the sentence " it was God's destiny for his life, yoruba will say "Bi olorun shey ko niyen" was he God that prompted him to join a cult that he knows in his conscious mind will lead him to death or gravious consequences.
I think God didnt pre-destined our live so as to live it towards the gate of hell, the Bible even said we are all going to be accountable for all out deeds, why should we hold on to destiny when our deeds will make or break us. If you are destined to be great and you fail to be great yourself i think you will remain useless and the over hyped destiny will not show forth. I have never seen a prophet after praying for an individual say to him from what God showed me i think you will remain poor till you die and you will not make heaven, i think you are a product of your action and destiny is just a fabricated word to make people useless, expect the unexpectable and console grieving people when there is no more word to use and the next thing is to lie on God.
Please, i am open to corrections, insults and the likes as i am here to learn.
Happy sunday to us all and great week ahead.

The account of Esau and Jacob indicates that the biblical God foresees and for-knows

Judas was identified as the 'son of perdition' (sometimes, I wonder why judas is relegated among the disciples, for crying out loud, he masterminded the soul purpose of christ mission on heart), jesus gave us an idea telling how he saved his desciples except for judas that has been destined

If before birth, a God knows before hand where man will end, then, what's the purpose of prayer, forgiveness, faith, preaching, salvation...?
Why would a film maker watch the film he produced if not for boredom and entertainment?
