Even if they do report his presence, it's not gonna change whatever will be the outcome of the visit. Africa and it's people still fail to realize the enormous power this continent can wield in world politics, if we get our acts rights. France just made a promise to aid Nigeria in its fight against terrorism. Now I'm asking myself, what suddenly got the French govt interested in our plight? I'm not a fan of Buhari, but if you rejoice that his visit is un-noticed by the French media, then, it isn't Buhari alone that got ignored but all Nigerians, including you.. Buhari may not be the best but he is the president of a sovereign country and should be accorded respect befitting his person and office. |

I've been in Paris for 3 days now and I must confess the only place I heard Buhari is visiting Paris is here on Nairaland. I scour all the French stations for hourly news but seems like the migration issues, carlifornia wide fire and Australia change of government is totally more important than one president of Nigeria visiting Paris. Funny thing is some fools on nairaland keeps shouting Nigeria is getting it's respect back  . Who dey respect una before in the first place?? its so funny, that despite the message the western world is trying to pass across to us, the government and media still persist in their idiosyncrasy. The election which saw the APC government come into power was predicated on two conjectures. * The UK elections * The Israeli elections In both elections, the Society international, which the APC is a part of, placed its hope on the purported victory of David Milband of the UK, labour party and Daniel Herzog of the far left party in the Israeli elections. Both lost to Conservative governments which the PDP is an ally to. The end result is that PMB has been dumped by both Obama and Hollande, and is now at the mercy of the Conservative worldwide movement. The US elections next year, would be the nail in the coffin for the APC. If Donald Trump emerges as the next US President, you can kiss PMB goodbye.
