Former Super Eagles assistant coach Daniel Amokachi has confirmed to AfricanFootball.com he has resigned as coach of Nnewi based side FC IfeanyiUbah.

The veteran football player is speculated to have resigned due to friction arising after the team lost 1-0 to Sharks in Port Harcourt on Sunday September 13. Amokachi reportedly told the team to travel at night journey after the match but the players and coaches rejected the idea.

“Yes, I have resigned as the coach of Ifeanyi Ubah. I am in Kaduna right now,” Amokachi told AfricanFootball.com

Amokachi is also said in some quarters to have been uncomfortable working with Technical Director John Obuh which might have contributed to his decision to resign.
