The Nigerian Army’s fight against Boko Haram insurgents has received a huge boost with Tuesday’s takeover of Miyanti and Banki towns previously under insurgent control while women and children held in captivity have been rescued.

The Army’s acting Director of Information, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman confirmed this development via PRNigeria where he stated that Nigerian troops have been able to successfully clear known terrorist camps around the Banki, Kumshe and Bama axis of Borno State.

“Nigerian troops advancing to clear all known Boko Haram terrorists camps towards Banki, Kumshe axis and Bama axis have cleared 4 more camps earlier today.
