Morning guys. I noticed d rate airtel deduct Mb is usually high compared with other service providers. For example, I just downloaded a 46.9mb file, and i discovered like 251mb was deducted for that single download. Plus even if I don't download, just using the Opera mini, with low image quality, d rate mb reduces is so drastic. Don't know if it is only me that happens to.

That is their culture so take heart.

Yes, it's not just you. I have experienced it also. Initially, it was when you use a bb plan on a non-bb device, but even when you use an android plan, they still charge very high.

The other day, my cousin subscribe for Android 1g for 1k. After some days, it was exhausted. I started calculating and I came to see that in reality, he has used about 600mb while airtel charges him 1G.

It's just so bad.

Airtel uses an arbitrary unit for measuring data, not the usual mb and gb. Also Airtel operates a differential burn rate for your data purchases, which means that during the day they decuct more from your balance for loading a page than they wouldif you loaded that same page at night.

That is why the offer those ridiculous cheap prices for data and we all think they are the best.
