The Chairman is displaying ignorance. The Football Academy will facilitate sport development in Niger state.

Thats how most of them neglect their elective duties for things that don't add value to the State.

That is the honest truth.
Let us take Suleja as a study case;
1 there are only three tarred road in Suleja; Minna road, Morroco road, Hassan Dallatu road. The rst are in shambles.
2 No pipe born water has been extended to any extension for the past 20 years. These extentions harbours the major population of Suleja
3 No garage as all the bus stops have been converted to garage.
4 The people buy and install their transformers.
5 The most active work the local government does is tax collection.
6 No good government schools and no regulation on the private schools.
7 The local security are given very strong powers just like the police. In fact, the police sometimes closes as early as 2.pm from all their major road hang-out leaving the entire populace in the hands of weeds smoking touts who are 'laws' on to themselves'!
8 There is no higher institution in that zone.
9 Their library has only one bench for visitors. The latest book there was published since the '70s'.
The only grace they have is the FCT.
Now this governor was overwhelmingly voted for in this same Suleja. I hope he realises that a lot of work is needed in the state than a jamboree.

The governor should sit down. There are more important things he can do with his time.

The NHRC chairman is talking nonsense. It doesn't matter where Mikel comes from, in as much as he is a Nigerian and he's interested in investing in a football academy in Niger state, the governor should give him all the needed support.
