It is now a common thing to see comments from people saying marriage is an over-hyped thing. These comments have a good landing when a troubled marriage is discussed. They site the high rate of divorce, physical and verbal abuse, infidelity etc rocking today's marriages as a good reason why marriage is no big deal or shouldn't be taken serious.

We all know marriage gives one a sense of responsible, as an individual gets to take care of others in the union, be it the spouse or kids. A wayward and nonchalant man can be made to set aside frivolity and live his life for his family. This can prevent him from the problems that accompany sleeping around, drunkenness, keeping late nights, spendthrift, lack of ambition etc which not being married can expose him to.

I would have love to point out some advantages of being a married woman, but I can't cos am not a female to be certain of being right about it all. But am very sure that there are tonnes of advantages of being a married woman.

There seem to be people of a view that the disadvantages of being married are far more than its advantages. They even tend to belittle the advantages. They claim people who have chosen not to be married are happier than the married ones.

Pls, what are the advantages of NOT being married?

Its true that those who are not married are more happier , even the bible said such ones are FREE FROM ANXIETY . That defines why they are more happier . I.e those ones abstain from sexual immorality .


But whats the gain of not getting married but having children like fish with different women like some people suggest . It doesnt make sense . And such a person cant be free from anxiety infact his blood pressure will be high because of financial problems .

I disagree with d op cos as i see there are greater advantagea o marriage than are disadvantages.
one can decide to never get married for his or her own reason but if auch person plans on having kids then i think ots very mych unacceptable and detrimental to d kids for them to vr born out of wedlock.
