The abductors of a chieftain of Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Olu Falae, have demanded payment of N100 million ransom for his release, giving Tuesday as deadline for payment.

Mr. Falae, who is also the national chairman of Social Democratic Party, was abducted at his Ilado Farm along Igbatoro Road, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday.

He said the kidnappers later called his wife and told her that a ransom of N100 million must be paid before his release on or before tomorrow, Tuesday.

Ondo State Police Spokesman, Wole Ogodo, declined comment on the matter, saying he needed some time to put the facts of the matter together.
