CBN's admonition is "a word for the wise." It is not an aspersion on the management skills of the government. Believe me, it is high time we did something drastic about our large-size government and the recurrent expenditure that throwsmore money into the hands of public officials than create jobs and wealth 2 Likes |

Hmmm. So much for change... 2.6trn was lost on the stock exchange from may 29th till August. Few days ago,I read that around 410bn naira has been withdrawn from the stock exchange by foreign investors. This means from may 29th till now(4 months),the stock exchange has lost around 3trn naira, and we still have another 3 months to go before year end;why won't the economy slip/slide into recession? Buhari should get busy with reviving the economy whilst still going around with his anti-corruption campaign. Nigeria cannot afford a recession with over 170million people. Those of us doing business are already feeling it and if things continue like this,I fear for what the next phase will be. 41 Likes 3 Shares |
