Hi Guys, I really appreciate the united efforts you guys are making to ensure we achieve this feat. Please i would like to confirm a few things about my work history. I'm currently in Nigeria and hope to apply from here. - I have applied for a student's visa in the past, hence CIC has info in my work history. I have now worked for 4 different organizations in past 5 years and the job descriptions fell into 3 different NOCs. The first 2 employers covers a total of 2yrs experience with 2 different NOCs, while the last 2 (including my current work) covers a total of 3.5 yrs experience with same NOC.). Meanwhile the first company I worked for has been liquidated, hence my supervisor can't issue me a reference with official letter heading paper, but I listed this liquidated company while applying for my student visa in 2011 (which was refused due to insufficient funds). Can I ignore the first two organizations (including the liquidated company) and fill only the last two organizations where I gained the required 3 yrs experience, which would also give me the maximum point for work experience? My major concern is that the liquidated company's info was included in my student visa application in 2011,and I feel that CIC would expect me to include same details on my work history for the Perm residence application. Not sure if my application will be rejected if I omit this information as I can't produce a reference letter with the official letter heading. Finally,I would like to get a clear information on the documents required to show the skilled work completed as a self-employed person who worked as a director of his limited liability company. I understand we need letter from clients or 3rd party, but I would like to get the full document details/checklist to support the self-employed work experience. Thanks |

chymadi: In my opinion, you have the right to choose which work experience will fetch you maximum points. However, be sure the dates of the work experience you want to use is not in conflict with the liquidated company in your previous application (Not sure they will check but you never can tell). This is just my opinion you let's read what others have to say. Cheers Teewhy |

chymadi:You can fill company Number 3only...however when you get ITA, you'll hve to include all those other companies on the personal history form on the electronic application. For ur 2nd question in addition 2d docs listed, I'm thinking ur cert of incorporation from CAC, coy bank acct details, rent/lease receipts and any other document that supports ur case. |

tolurigs: Yes I and my spouse OND and bsc was evaluated as two or more. We both acquired ours before bsc. Was urs before or after? I'm guessing depending on your school, Mayb that is why yours is evaluated as bsc. |

Hellooooooo please dont wait for Unilag transcript ooo especially if you know you wont even make the 450 mark with her masters and great ielts score. My point is make up your mind if you will settle for nomination and be prepared and swift about it. From my experience, i applied for Wes april last year hoping unilag masters transcript would have been ready...... You wont believe the transcript is not ready even after the last convocation. I had to write and call WES several times late last year when i realized my department was very slow about it. WES removed unilag from my app and then i got into the pool. I was able to apply to provinces for nomination. To the glory of God, i got nominated in December.....extra 600 points which covered d point for masters and saved time My exact point is... there is no time to even say no time. You have to be swift. A perfect example is the CRS scores cic used as benchmark early this year... we had less than 460 almost twice at the beginning of the year compared to the recent 534. beyunce: 2 Likes |

@candykenni, thanks for the advice. If I understand d u well, u are suggesting we do not wait for her MSc transcript... We should just evaluate her BSc and my BSc and then hope to get I to d pool for PNP? And why will the so called almighty unilag delay transcripts and certificate that long... She concluded her final MSc exams last Dec, and till now we don't even have her certificate or transcript or anything... And I was hoping that MSc was gonna be a plus quote author=candykenni post=45475312]Hellooooooo please dont wait for Unilag transcript ooo especially if you know you wont even make the 450 mark with her masters and great ielts score. Hello all, Please I have a question, after COPR does an applicant need to notify the VO via CSE of the pregnancy of the applicant OR after the birth of the child? Is there any room for Pregnancy reporting? I thought change in family configuration meant the birth of a child, just want to be sure... Thanks |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 8:15am On May 10, 2016 |
You are not required to report pregnancy but you will have to report birth of a child. Anneehis: 5 Likes 1 Share |

GrandCommander: It would be a good idea to improve your IELTS scores assuming you did not ace the exam. Or check the provinces that are looking for professionals in your occupation and go the Provincial Nomination route. Cheers! 2 Likes |

Please for WES Evaluation, is it only your highest qualification need to be evaluated or all. For example, i have masters and bsc, do i need to evaluate both or just one. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 11:20am On May 10, 2016 |
It is a matter of choice as MSc. alone will suffice. You will earn the same score if you evaluate MSc. alone or both MSc. and BSc. However, for professions (like Engineering) that require registration in Canada, you might later need to evaluate your BSc. Note that if you eventually make the decision to evaluate your MSc. alone, do not include BSc. details when completing your profile with WES as they will ask for you to submit the BSC. certificate and transcripts if you do. kokobi99: |

muyiwaojo1:Well I don't know anything about uni lag, but if You can confirm from a reliable source when the masters transcript will be ready, while you and wifey try to ace ielts. With a high ielts band 9, 3 years work experience and your spouse masters, I'm sure your crs score will be at least 470 if not more. Getting nomination now is not like making moi moi. it takes many many months and it's not easy as its been typed. My point is, you can explore every option you have. Having above 470 crs score at the same time chilling for nomination ain't bad, the crs score can come down at anytime or go up, so the fact the recent score was 534 doesn't mean that it won't come down. Go to cic site and calculate your score with masters or without masters so you can see the difference. 2 Likes |

tolurigs: What was in the summary of your report? Did they mention your diploma in the summary? If yes. You can get it amended. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by beyunce(f): 1:10pm On May 10, 2016 |
dupyshoo:Choi. More reason I think people shouldn't depend on nomination if they have alternatives that can increase their score somewhat. Anyways, hopefully the remaining 2 province don't close their doors for this year. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 1:21pm On May 10, 2016 |
PNP route is not easy nowadays as most of the provinces have reached their quotas. For instance, Ontario and Saskatchewan, the 2 readily available provinces for PNP have suspended application for now. As you have advised, she can evaluate the BSc. alone and then enter the pool. She might afterwards try to look for Provincial nomination. My advice is once her transcripts is ready, she should request for an upgrade with WES. Please note that this will cost additional money. With MSc, good IELTS score, 3 year work experience, age less than 33, spouse ECA and IELTS, she will surely get ITA. candykenni: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Nobody: 4:15pm On May 10, 2016 |
dupyshoo: I don't think the real issue is even about quotas, as virtually all the provinces require you to get a job offer from an employer in their province before you can then think of applying for their PNP. this to me is the main issue. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by tolurigs: 5:23pm On May 10, 2016 |
beyunce:My summary reads 4 year bachelors degree that's all.The diploma was not mentioned in the summary, though evaluated as a two year diploma but not mentioned in the summary at all.thanks for the concern. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by SlowlybtSurely: 5:58pm On May 10, 2016 |
GrandCommander: Not all provinces. Ontario and Saskatchewan don't need job offers before nominating a candidate. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by SlowlybtSurely: 6:02pm On May 10, 2016 |
tolurigs: Have you tried contacting WES regarding this? Some people have had their evaluations adjusted. Do contact them. You might just be pleasantly surprised. |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Nobody: 8:23pm On May 10, 2016 |
SlowlybtSurely: I am talking based on the current situation now. The current situation with the provinces show that u must get a job offer first. This is for the international skilled worker stream. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by beyunce(f): 8:28pm On May 10, 2016 |
