Glo 4.5gb plan is just rubbish!
Doesn't browse most of the time. Just very frustrating!!!
I think it's just time to switch back to MTN just that it's only 1.5gb for day, but I think mtn is still the best.
Or anybody with a contrary opinion?

Yeah I feel your pain bro. It could be frustrating at times, but it's the cheapest available, so that has caused a lot of congestion on their network.

Very funny. But that shouldn't be enough reason for the slow and poor service.
How can one be finding it difficult sometimes to load an ordinary www.google.com page with enough GB data and full network bar access! That's not good enough

GLO works fine over most of Lagos. I used to have same issue with GLO poor network. I could only browse well around Ikeja or Oshodi until I changed my 3G settings to WCDMA only.

Could this really solve the problem? 'Cos it's also difficult browsing on my ipad if via hotspot of my phone. Don't you think there's just issue with this glo of a thing??

the thing abt glo service is location, some areas experience great service while some areas network coverage is poor, I use mtn 4.5gb plan......and I can use the nite plan during the day

Sorry man. But thats what i'm blazzing right now.... Still feel its the best in town for now. I'll suggest you change 3G to WCDMA, this drains battery a lot though, but its your best shot.
Again, your location is key....down here in Lagos, the network isn't half bad.

this is the trick, day plan is from 6:01am - 9pm, while nite plan is from 9pm - 6am....., to use the nite data during the day, you will nid to activate your airplane mode around 5:50am and immediately de-activate and let your network become active b4 6am, all the data you will use during the day will b deducted from your nite plan, except you experience network glitch which will take you back to your day plan.

I dey flex this same glo data no be today, diff area in lagos, Ph self, abj wer I base. the only place I do witness bad network, that is wenever am inside ABU zaria, glo network bad for there.

i can relate with your frustration bro. i think i has to do with the network in your area. i used to experience this way back then in my hometown where network fluctuates depending on where i was.

as for me glo still rocks, they have the cheapest plan in town but if you want reliability go for mtn, if you want speed go for etisalat.

enable the 3G service and change the network mode to 3G only. you will find it in 'setting' under 'network settings'
