As a web developer like me, you would be in a working field that is competitive and tough. The challenges and competitions you would have to face would increase as the industry grows, but this is no threat as you would be able to make your way through the career path. This is so because there are many jobs available as many companies have online businesses and would require skilled employees to manage them.

But, the real question is; how would you increase your salary as a website developer?

Now here is where you pick up tips, points and useful advice to mend the hole in your pocket and help you out. First of all, you need education. Well, obviously! If you don't already have a degree, then go and get one. You can do this either by enrolling into a university or by doing an online program. Besides that, make sure your degree is in a field that you want and have interest in.

In addition to that, you would need hands on experience. An employer is most likely to give an experienced worker a better figure in salary if they have got experience in the concerning industry and can work independently. Also, experience related to the software and current technologies would be a plus point too. This can be acquired by participating in short term project and through internships.

The company that you work for matters too. Take in the size, note that generally, bigger companies are well off and would be able to pay you more while small companies wouldn't have the financial security to pay you as much. Besides size, location matters too. Companies and businesses in cities and towns are more likely to offer a better pay in comparison to the ones on the outskirts and in rural areas.

So, when picking a company, note all these small things as they play a big role in the figures of your pay In conclusion, work hard and learn to start small. You can do well if you put your heart to it and strive for the best!
