Launching on July 28th, the New Nintendo 2DS XL will hit at a suggested retail price of $149.99. The system looks very much like the New Nintendo 3DS XL that we have right now, with the main difference being the lack of 3D displays. Given how most gamers reacted to the 3D feature, specifically that most keep it turned off, this seems like a great and long overdue move on Nintendo’s part.

Ever since Nintendo revealed the Switch players have hoped
and wondered if they’ll get an official Pokemon game for the device. Surely one is coming, but the real question is, will it be a full Pokemon game like Sun, Moon, X, and Y. These questions seemed to solidify around a single rumor, that Pokemon Sun and Moon would be followed up with
Pokemon Stars on Nintendo Switch. This rumor has gone up
and down in terms of credibility, but a new line of
merchandise for the franchise has fans really excited.

Called the “Look Upon the Stars” collection, this new set of
Pokemon shirts, plushies, accessories, and more is all
centered around the “night’s sky.” Of course, this does fit
with Moon, one of the latest entries in the series for
Nintendo 3DS, but just having the word Stars in the title has
fans anxious for what it could mean.

The next game from Remedy, creator of Alan Wake and
Quantum Break, has secured a publisher.

505 Games will release the project for PC, PlayStation 4 and
Xbox One. There's no release date yet, but the €7.75m
(£6.5m) deal's announcement confirms several details of the project.

Codenamed "Project 7", it will be a third-person action experience set in "a new Remedy-created universe". So, like an Alan Wake 2, but not Alan Wake 2. "Featuring an intriguing story and a game structure offering a long-lasting experience, P7 contains the deepest game mechanics yet in a Remedy game," the studio stated. "The game is built on Remedy's proprietary Northlight technology."

Daedalic Entertainment is ready to launch their videogame
adaptation of Ken Follet’s mega-seller novel The Pillars of
The Earth. The game, a classic point-and-click adventure, is
set in 12th Century England, and covers all the mysteries
and schemes surrounding the building of a Cathedral in the
town of Kingsberg. The game will be released in three parts
of seven episodes each. The “Book 1” will be available for
PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux, this August.
