This year marks the year where Microsoft will release the currently code-named Project Scorpio, which will easily be the most powerful console on the market. After legendary footballer Diego Maradona threatened to
sue Konami in March, the two parties have now settled their dispute out of court, according to El Eco (via Kotaku).

Maradona had accused the publisher of using his likeness
without his permission in PES 2017, a claim which Konami
later denied, saying, "our company is using [this player]
appropriately, with the basis of the license within the
contract." Now, Konami has reportedly paid the soccer star
an undisclosed fee to avoid any further legal conflict. The
Argentinian will also now promote PES for the next three
years as an official ambassador.

As part of the negotiations, Konami Digital Entertainment
president Takayuki Kubo reportedly flew out to Argentina to
help resolve the dispute personally. And for his part,
Maradona has apparently promised to donate some of the
money to help improve grass-roots football facilities in his
home country.

The new Walking Dead game from the makers of the Payday series is not coming out on time. Overkill Software has announced that its licensed game is now coming in the second half of 2018.
It's been a long time coming for the game. Announced in 2014, the game was at one point scheduled to come out in 2016, before being delayed to 2017, and now again to 2018.

They don’t come quite as often as they used to, but
Electronic Arts and Ghost Games has a new Need For Speed
game in the works and it’s set to arrive later this year. In a
blog post on the Need For Speed website, Ghost Games
reveals that the game will arrive by the end of the year.

The announcement sounds like a primer for more details at
E3 2017, but we do get a little bit of information about the
game. Ghost Games mentions a couple of things that appear to be in Need for Speed 2017. First is customization, and they sound pretty staunch about keeping a deep level of customization in Need for Speed games going forward,
saying it’ll “play as strong a role as ever as we move forward
into the next game and beyond.”

Next, they talk about the police, and the satisfying nature of
a police chases in Need for Speed games. It’s definitely
sounding like there will be police chases in the next game.
They also reveal that this Need for Speed game will have an
offline mode. There will be a single player experience that is
completely offline, which caused somewhat of a problem in
the last game.

Bioware has been providing us with games for a number of
years now, whether it is based on existing properties like
Star Wars or branching out into their own original games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. While one studio at Bioware has been working on the recently released Mass Effect Andromeda among other things, another of their studios has been working on a brand new IP that was scheduled for release in fiscal year 2018, but that game has now been delayed.

EA held their quarterly earnings briefing for Q4 that
wrapped up the 2017 fiscal year, where they discussed their
multiple studios and upcoming games. One of those was
Bioware’s new IP that was originally scheduled for release
sometime in the 2018 fiscal year, though it has now been
pushed back by a year.

After a series of teases, Sega has confirmed Vanquish is
coming to PC. The Platinum's much-loved sci-fi shooter comes out on PC via Steam on 25th May.

The PC version features an unlocked framerate, which
means if you have the hardware, you can crank the game upfrom 60fps to 144fps.

There's also 4K resolution support, graphics options
including anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, SSAO lighting,
scalable texture and shadow quality, and full keyboard and
mouse support.

There is full Steam support, too with Steam Achievements,
