The wives of the presidents and prime ministers of Kenya, Nigeria, Angola, Zambia, and ten other nations have gathered together in the U.S. for the first time to discuss health, education, women’s issues and Aids in Africa.

I am totally against African first ladies trying to use their positions to accomplish anything. In fact, I don’t believe first ladies or first husbands need to be allowed to use their position in such a way.

I am totally against this 'first lady' thing. It really annoys me. Why cant they continue with whatever job they are doing, even if their husbands are in office? Otherwise, sit in the house and 'siddon-look' or look after your husband. Afterall, the job of being a president is very very difficult.

For God's sake, that wife of the Cameroonian president should be kept indoors. The lady looks hideous!

The people need to be given what they voted for and nothing more. I seriously am against the "FIRST LADY" idea. It makes no sense in Africa and abroad. I would that the women or men, work their way up the ladder like everyone else, not take it upon themselves to claim power in the way they continue to.
