I am not saying more than i already have. I am sorry. There are a lot of things you do not know, and I refuse to be dragged out on a one sided affair.

I owe no explanation to you about how to run, or how i run my company. If i ask that you pay a one time driver recruitment fee of 20k, i have my reasons. It's part of my terms. If the terms do not favour You, i will not force. Not everyone is comfortable with the terms sir, and not everyone has done biz with us despite being comfortable with the terms and conditions.

Options.

Do not castigate the way i run things simply because you do not like them.

The honda issue isn't your business either. You do not know what truly happened, and i owe you no explanations. I choose to remain silent over it.

Common mister! This is a very rude and arrogant way to address people. You can run your ship however you like, but if you thrive and derive business prospects from people you meet on this platform or through people we have come to trust in this platform (i.e. GAZZUZZ), you owe a duty to be as open as a book. You come on here to advertise, get clients then turn round to say what you do with them is none of our business. Who does that?!

The fact that this kind of allegation has not been refuted and/or a counter narrative presented leaves much to be desired. I know you quite well on this platform, you don't run short of responses to meet your challenger.

A simple apology with a promise to rectify the issues within a defined timeline would have been a better way to address this issue, and also reinforce the confidence that people already repose in you.

Romeo, that was a flimsy response.

I must say I am dissapointed. So all these was happening and you were busy showing off flight tickets, to impress or smite who, Entparrot I guess?
Ogunvic, hmmmm, I really do not know where to start from. You have bin active on NL and yet couldn't take out time to sort out an issue with your partner, that is a very careless and unprofessional attitude.
The money to fix the said cars ain't coming from your pocket but the insurance company and all that was needed from you was to just show up, mehnnnn i nod my head in absolute disgust.

Prodigy, pls take up necessary action and don't forget u can sue for inconvenience and emotional trauma.

I am not supporting @ogunvic. But we can still do better on this matter. Even big companies mess up to. Let's encourage ourselves on how to be better rather than pull down

Take advantage of this situation @ogunvic by resolving asap and come out better and stronger. Use this as ur learning curve

Well well well... folds arms... when I said my own people were saying I was crazy. When I said that in these business you need to build your own team to manage your cars. Please and please am not saying people shouldn't not give their cars to fleet company. Am just of the opinion that too many cars under a fleet company will result to or likely results to lack of good customer services. When a person manages too many cars, your cars will be least of their worries. People am not saying Ogunvic41 is bad person or am trying to mess up his business. He needs to work on his customers service skills. He has very very bad customers skills. In business the motto is customers are always right. Hope he makes changes and am I trying to bring him down NO . Will I ever give my cars to her fleet company NO.
I want to build my own company and team. The day all these fleets return the cars to the owner. What are going to do. People you need to sit down and stragetise. This Uber is a good business and you need to be hands on. Are there any good fleet companies out there. Yes of coz why not. But for me and for the long haul . I want to have my own in house people and my own team working for me specifically and not working for 20 other car owner. I want to do these business for the long haul.

Hopefully they will make the appropriate change. Customer service skills needs to improve on their part. I had a very similar customer service experience with him. And also the people that went to him on my behalf. He needs to humble himself down. If more than three or more people are complaining about the same thing about you. It means that something needs to be address.

You are showing me ur true colors... Your explanation makes zero sense.

20k for drivers registration and be paid by partner?

We thought all those phone numbers you and ogunvic41 is dropping online for people to call is actually free services grin

I never knew 20k is to be paid and people are here praising you for helping people for free?

What ever we need to know say it here, stop using the unknown to deceive us.

Hopefully this will humble them. Romeo3 has a good customers service skill. He needs to pull his partner aside and caution him on his people skills. Part of the issue I see his the way he talks to people. And in my own humble opinion they need to slow a bit with the numbers of cars they take. Start slow and grow from there.

Ogunvic, Romeo. You guys have lost your chance to clear this mess.

I'm highly disappointed in both of you. Based on the response from Romeo and the golden silence from Ogunvic it's obvious you guys LACK THE CAPACITY TO DELIVER.

From now on your reputation has been stained.

Warning: If you have to dine with Fleet Experts, use a long Fork and sit far from the table.

I honestly agreed with you that your "anger cannot be fully understood."
Going by your explanation I honestly see many lapses. But, I will not want to comment on the side concerning @Ogunvic until seeing what he had to say. Although @Romeo3 already alluded to the fact that you both have issues which will be treated outside NL.
I strongly believe they will make further statement in due course.
However, if you want me to bear my mind truthfully to you, please quote me. I see areas where you made mistakes.

prodigyx1:
My anger right now can't be fully understood.

This guy called Ogunvic (Ogunleye Kayode) is the most foolishly proud, arrogant and irresponsible person I have ever met.

I'LL TRY TO EXPLAIN IN DETAILS

Towards the end of last year December I was fortunate to meet the Mech Specialist Mr Gazzuzz who sold me a faultless Tokunbo Toyota Corolla. After negotiations and all documents handed over I decided to meet Ogunvic and try out his over exaggerated Fleet Management.

We scheduled a couple of meetings and a few calls and in all he was very boastful about the system he runs and kept guaranteeing its 'foolproof'. Here's a summary of his terms and conditions:

Partner to handle all maintenance and mechanical faults.
Repairs to be handled by the insurance company will be treated "DULY".
FleetXpert agrees to "Notify" partner of any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
Partner provides "N30, 000 worth of Fuel + Total Card"
Partner to provide driver with
A Brand New Phone
Spectranet 4G Modem
Car Charger

In the event of unfortunate events Fleetexpert pays Partner 60% of whatever driver makes after fuel cost deduction "before the unfortunate event".

After he then added an eye sore that Partner to pay N20,000 Driver Registration Fee which was not included in the contract. I specifically told him that's not possible cuz I see no reason for such from the partner.

As at the time I had no cash on me for all he listed and I asked him to handle the 15k Spectranet, 30k fuel, 1k total card and getting fire extinguisher, car wash and floor carpets and car charger (estimated around 10k) totaling approximately 56k. I told him to deduct 20k off the weekly agreed till its fully paid off and he reluctantly agreed. I went ahead and got his specified phone.

Being concerned about my car and its usage plus stories I read here on Nairaland about car theft and vandalism since most drivers don't have gated parking space. I asked him to search for a driver living around the mainland (preferably any in and around Surulere, Akoka, Anthony, Maryland, Isolo) and for security I asked the car be parked in my office complex which was by the bus stop expressway so it's easy for the driver to come out and pick up. With this I can also keep an eye on the conditions of my car. This offer was obviously turned down. He gave his reasons so I agreed.

I further asked if whenever I needed to use the car for work delivery or outing the driver could assist with discounted payment for service rendered and he agreed.

All doubts crosschecked I made up my mind to entrust him with the car regardless. On Friday 5th of January I handed over the car. He agreed to get a driver and do all necessary arrangements for the car to begin work as soon as possible.

Next day I checked my tracker and saw series of movements between Magboro in ogun state, lekki, ilupeju and ikeja. I called him to ask if he got a driver and didn't let me know but he wasn't picking so I asked Mr reliable Gazzuzz and he explained to me that he lives in magboro, works around ilupeju and has an office in lekki. So I relaxed even with sadness about the car gaining so much miles and no money to show. Kayode later called and with a tone said he wasn't going to continue with me. I called back apologized and explained my concern and we resolved the matter. He said he'll try to get a driver soon.

On Monday 8th he informed me he got a driver (Emmanuel Offikwu) staying at Agege and he's concluding discussions. So with hope work will start. According to the driver he started work on Thursday even though tracker shows lekki movements Wednesday and overnight. I found out later from Driver that the day he collected the car he took it to a mechanic to fix the silencer cuz it was damaged by Ogunvic and he kept it from me (remember the agreement signed). Now I kept silent.

By Tuesday 16th I called Ogunvic Kayode and asked for an update on my pay. He said driver made around 57k and he would make calculations and give me a breakdown. I said ok and waited. 2 days later nothing sent. I called and he said busy and I should remember I owed him. I still said no problem let me just know the breakdown so I know whats left or not. But by weekend kayode still didn't send anything.

Now according to kayode, driver remits monday evenings, he makes calculations and sends money to partners on Tuesdays. So by Tuesday I was hopeful I'll get a call this time.

In the evening around 6pm, I got a call from the driver and the news was he had an accident. While reversing he bashed into another car at lekki. Matters escalated and the car was in the police station. I asked since when he said on Sunday 21st. I asked if kayode was informed he said yes, on Monday. He said he was trying to handle the matter quietly but since it'll involve the insurance company to fix he decided to call me. He also told me he made 80k+ and gave Kayode 60,000 and he bought 7k full tank and 4k extra in keg. After his call I called Kayode and without blaming him for not telling me as per the contract I asked what he was doing to resolve it. He said he would call the other car owner and negotiate for car to leave station for repairs. I said ok no problem. I immediately called the insurance company (Axa Mansard) and with no hesitation the very nice lady (Taiwo who I also got from Mr Reliable Gazzuzz) said no problems, I should provide pictures of both cars, police report and repair estimates and that in a few days it'll be done. I smiled and thanked God for insurance.

Next morning Wednesday around 10am I called Kayode to ask how far, he said he had stuffs to do and will find time later in the afternoon to see the third party and apologize and issue a post dated check and avoid the police. This is a matter already at the Police Station.

He said he just got to know on Tuesday and I told him I didn't care and all I wanted was the car out ASAP. (All this while I was speaking calmly and he's the type that when he's speaking he wants you to take his opinion but when you speak he'll keep interrupting and press his opinion whenever there's a problem.)

He said I was blaming him and he got angry and told me if I don't want to "LISTEN" to him I should go and get the car out myself. I ended the call.

For a car that's been at the police station going to 4 days Kayode still has stuffs to do and my car was not important enough.

I called the driver and asked for the third party number. I called and he said we could meet at the station since he was close and that the police were even asking for the car owner to confirm insurance. I left my office immediately, went home to get all original papers and insurance certificate, I called the driver and asked him to join us so we resolved everything. I took an UBER and after 30mins on trip I called the driver only for him to tell me Kayode asked him not to come. I tried everything to explain to him the importance of him being there to witness any discussion but still he was adamant about coming.

Now my fire was burning very bad.

I got to the Lekki station where the car was and the police woman in charge told me the other guy had waited almost 2 hrs but left minutes before I arrived. The police further asked for the driver and I said he was on his way that we should start processing any thing.

She clearly refused and said all parties involved must be present to confirm who is who. So I was stuck. I tried to call the driver and after very many tries he didn't pick. The police also called and he didn't pick up. I called the third party and he said once the driver comes I should let him know and he'll return.

At this point I had to narrate this story to the police lady who asked for Kayode's number and called him. In my presence she asked kayode to come over so everything can be resolved amicably. Kayode bluntly refused and said whenever he has chance he'll come. According to the police lady she said Kayode was arrogant and rude and I noticed her say kayode should chill since she was the one calling with her own credit he had no right to shout at her or refuse her talking. Kayode kept saying if he's to come it'll be later in the evening that he was busy. The lady was shocked and said is he expecting the 2 car owners to wait all day till evening when he has chance.

She referred me to the case section and the DCO asked an officer to follow us to the Kayode's office there in Lekki. We got there in pretence as clients for the secretary and as expected Kayode wasn't there. I was told by the police to file a different case against him at the ilupeju station close to Kayode's usually location for defrauding. So I left.

On my way I called Mr Reliable Gazzuzz and narrated my situation he asked me to calm down and give him chance to speak to kayode.

Few minutes later Kayode called me and stupidly said the reason he asked the driver to wait was because driver didn't have transport fare and he was to send him money but was busy. That he'll send soon. I said no problem so I faced home. By the time I got home around 5pm the driver called and was apologizing that he didn't have cash and also went to the hospital for treatment and that's why he didn't pick. I said no problem, call the other party and schedule a meeting time and inform me so we all settle the matter.

Next day Thursday I called the driver and he said the other guy agreed to Friday.

Friday morning around 9am I called the driver and he said he was on his way to the station and the other guy said to meet by 11am. I quickly got dressed and called Kayode and he said the driver told him the night before and he'll be leaving home soon that he'll pick me up at my office so we can go together. I told him driver was on his way there so I'll wait. By 10:30, kayode said he's almost at my place. I called the driver and to my surprise he said Kayode asked him to wait at his ilupeju location so we could all go together.

11am I called Kayode and he said he's close. Called driver and he said no sign of kayode. I called the other guy and acted like I didn't know there was a fixed time. He said he was at the station and waiting for the driver who he agreed to meet. So to buy time I said I was coming and he should please wait.

11:30am no sign of kayode so I called an UBER and left. I called the driver and told him to inform kayode I will go ahead amd they should meet me there. Getting close to the station I called Kayode and he said he had to handle certain things but will be leaving soon. When I got to the station I met the Gentleman waiting in the heat. He obviously wasn't happy and asked for the driver. I said they were coming. After a few minutes I called Kayode and he said they were coming, further said he didn't want anything to do with police and I said not a problem. We can speak with the guy outside and the driver and I can go in resolve the issue and be gone. For him coming is just to assist the driver incase he needs to pay money to the police or make negotiations or stand as his guarantor.

After 1 hour no sign of kayode nor the driver and the other guy vexing and me consoling. Driver stopped picking his calls.

I decided to plead with the police and ask if anything else can be done, I wrote a statement and she sent to the DPO. The DPO gave the condition that I first fix the other guys car and mine remains till its done.

Till now, kayode hasn't called, driver hasn't called.

This is someone who claims to run a Fleet Management Company. No regard for Partner, No remorse whatsoever.

My car still seats at the Police Station pending the quote from the other guy who says his car was bought brand new and as it's still under warranty can't give it to any mechanic except the car manufacturer. Who he says will get repair quote out by Monday.

That's the current situation and he's here still advertising for more cars to collect and damage while ripping off partners and favoring drivers.

Note I have call records on the Wednesday and yesterday Friday between kayode and I. I have tried attaching but doesn't seem to load.

You can imagine him traveling from magboro to lekki to be in his office in lekki on daily basis. @prodigyx1 /complainant advise the police to arrest the secretary for giving false information, more truth will be reveal about the real owner of the office in lekki.

I need the phone number of the owner, romeo3 destroy his honda, romeo3 need to be charge to court for negligence, I'm offering this service for free, you wont pay a dime and rome3 will pay you for damages and lost of revenue, Im out to deal with these arrogant guys.

This so called ogunvic41 fleet managers are seeing this business from one perspective, drivers!!!(because they are drivers) Meanwhile nobody is asking owners how they manage to get 2m to buy a car, instead of owners enjoying the luxury of the car, they throw it out for taxi purposes, hoping they recouped their investment.
Nobody is telling owners, there could be land he will buy for 2m in 2 years will be selling for more than 5m.

ogunvic41 and romeo3 knew, most investors will be interest when they hear 50k weekly return, by the time u call them, you are hooked, no alternatives, just stick to them and pray to god to succeed.

ogunvic41 and romeo3 opinions are the final, dont argue with them, they own share holders in uber, keep quite until they finish talking.

They didn't put a gun in our head or force us to invest. Anything we do in life especially when it comes to business. We need to open our eyes and do our own research. We need to start blaming ourselves for our own misfortune. I don't see them as scammers at all, in any invest you must invest wisely. And you might ask.

This is interesting.

Sorry about your experience and loss, unfortunately it comes with the terrain. Thank goodness you were even following up closely after handing your car over to them. Imagine if you've gone to sleep for 2wks waiting for your first payment after using your week 1 revenue to pay the outstanding, then it could have been worse.
However, perhaps you should have (1)been part of the driver selection process (2) held on to your car until a driver is assigned to you.

And to the protagonists...I am not surprised at all.

If you understand how the e-hailing (from uber/taxify/other models) and fleet management in general works, lay that side by side with the operations these ALMIGHTY guys are running then you know something is amiss.

Also look critically into their trial on this thread only and read between the lines, you will see the pointers. Wonder how many more people are out there suffering in silence, expect to hear more "stories that touch".

With insurance available and an understanding car owner/investing partner & complainant that are willing to settle the case, there must be a reason that dude still refuses to show up at the police station multiple times.
If you don't have any criminal record and/or something to hide then you will normally not have a problem showing up at the station under the circumstances involved.

So what genuine options are investors left with?

Very apt observation sir, fleet management is not as easy as people think it is considering the socio economic parameters we have in our country.

Guys really need to sit up as it is to stay aflaot. I have seen many fleet managers with albeit good intentions fail at the end of the day.

You need the right amount of resources, right manpower, right equipments, right attitude and most importantly right drivers.

We are always to quick to believe since I have driven on uber I can manage others or for others.... Bros non be beans o..drivers will kill u and auto technicians will will bury u.

One really needs to be hands on and be well grounded in logistics, maintenance, operations ,finance, management and plenty madness.
