Good day peeps, please a quick question, from what year of car model does uber accept cars; (2000, 2005..)

Uber accept cars from 2000model upward but if you gonna be running on both Uber/Taxify get a car from 2003model upward, preferably a Toyota product.

MURTALA MUHAMMED INTERNATIONAL (LOS) AIRPORT
INSTRUCTION FOR DRIVERS

Riders at LOS can request Uber when leaving the airport. Learn how to receive these trip requests and cash in on the action.
Rules and regulations

LOS regulations for Uber partners

Per LOS regulations, drivers must adhere to the terms below. Failure to do so may result in impoundments. Sorry, but Uber will not pay for citations regarding illegal parking or other non-Uber related fines.

All ride dropoffs and pickups must occur on the departures level
Avoid any inappropriate behaviour at the airport or anywhere in the city while online
Pickups at LOS

How pickup requests work

It's easy to receive trip requests from riders leaving the airport. However, these trips work a little differently than other requests. To receive a trip request at Murtala Mohammed Airport [LOS] (International and Domestic), you can wait in the car park you want to pick riders up from. You will automatically be added to the FIFO (First In First Out) queue for requests.

Airport surcharges and waiting area

Riders fees at LOS

Uber partners may wait for ride requests at designated car parks at the airport. An automatic N400 will be added to your riders fare if you have a trip that starts from the airport area. Keep in mind that:

The lot is "first in, first out"; upon entering the staging line, you will be placed in line for the next trip request
There are only space for 100 vehicles at the airport waiting area. Should you arrive at the parking lot and see that it is full, we recommend leaving the airport
If you leave the staging lot or turn off your app, you will be placed at the back of the line
Car Parks

Uber driver-partners may wait for ride requests at the any of the available car parks. You will not receive an airport request outside of this lot.

Keep in mind:

The car park is "first in, first out"; upon entering the car park, you will be placed in line for the next trip request
If you do not receive a trip request in 30 minutes, we suggest to rather leave the airport area
If you leave the car park or turn off your app, you will be placed at the back of the queue
The parking fee for all three airports terminals is N400 for the first hour
You will be reimbursed the N400 parking fee if you pick a rider up from the airport. If you do not pick up a rider, or if you incur parking fees in excess of N400, you will not be reimbursed.
Designated pickup area at LOS

Uber users at the Lagos airport who request rides will be instructed to meet you at Level 1 Arrivals —a designated pickup area. To access this area, please stay in the right lane when entering the airport.

2002 very clean and sound honda accord baby boy will not suffice - unfortunately.
Most riders will have the perspective of the car not being "elegant" to say the least. Poor ratings, over time, will soon put the car out of business

Picked up one over sabi rider at makoko yaba. He stepped in d car and forced me arguing with him on why i have to call again when i was already at his door.
He would turn the ac fan to d highest (1st time i will see dat with my car.) cos he was sweating like kilode... We argued that one till we reached the community gate.. I kept telling him number 3 is ok and will cool him down.. For where. Stubborn.
Now he announced he is a very nervous passenger, hope i am not those racing drivers. I said i drive the way u want fast, slow or very slow. (i made it very slow for him. Even too slow for his liking, but he was ok)
Now we are heading to Sanusi fafunwa, seated at the front. He wants me to hit the break at his own time. He wants my two hands on steering which i rarely do (my days with manual stick, right hand is dedicated for engaging...) He doesn't want music, but said if i want no problem. I kuku off d thing. Hewould bring up different gist and still want me to contribute. Kept reminding me of every road signs. I wasn't enjoying the trip after 3mbridge.
On arrival, i asked if he had 100 so i give him 500 to balance his 400 change. He look at me and said i couldn't even say please do u have 100? Gush! I apologized again. he said he had a great ride. And he was going to rate me well. Right there he gave me a 5 star and smiled away.... What a rider!

A colleague driver on told me that if I am to use Taxify then I should switch-on my Mafia mode. Criminals patronize Taxify more so be tough. I have a weapon in my car, by the driver's side just in case. I had almost been strangled, thank God for creating confusion that caused my escape that night.

In this business you have to set ur rules.

1. If on the 1st approach the person sounds rude, I bcom careful.
2. If group of men looking irresponsible, I make car excuse or emergency.
3. I arrive at ur place and u take more time than necessary- customer no show(cancel).
4.We are on a trip and u start talking funny, police station case.
5. I don't feel comfortable with u as a rider? Get out of my car.

Even if Uber or Taxify wants to make my picking a rider a do or die affair. I have the right to choose life. Nigeria is not America, the harsh economy and the evil in the black Man's mind is inconceivable. U need to look at the faces and hear what comes off the mouth of some riders it shows desperation and frustration.

Why after taking 12mins to locate you in your pigeonhole with terrible roads and wait for additional 10mins before getting onboard, you still have the guts to talk down on me and rate me low?

My dear Nigeria is not America, so set your rules to survive or you'll be eaten.

I have an amutueur question. I purchased a car that I will put on the road specifically for ride share. I wish to hire a driver at a flat monthly rate, and I will absorb the fuel, maintenance, etc. costs, while keeping any excess as profit. I'm waiting to complete the required registrations etc. and hire a driver. I was wondering if their was a limit to the number cars I can carry under this scheme. If this proves profitable I am able to purchase 5 cars and have on the road earning. I would pay the drivers a flat monthly shift, and work the numbers to earn a profit for myself. Is this a feasible business plan?
