Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 4:09pm On Sep 13
From the refusal letter. The ECO turned down your application due to your low income earnings and your inability to proof or provide documentation on the source of over £800 you plan to spend. Since you are planing to reapply be mindful that any additional financial document you intend to submit must be back up with documentation on how you got this funds. For example you will need provide documentation how you get the funds to aquire properties, lands, stocks, fixed deposits, vis-a-vis your current earning. Without showing concrete evidences your financials, you are likely to be refused again despite the support from your brother in the UK. The key to application is proving that you have a convincing financial and economic home ties that will convinced the ECO that you will not over stay.

ekpotek:My proof of funds is shown in my bank statement of 550k I submitted for the application. Do I need to have another cover letter to it.I have had land property before the application before my employment but I thought was nt necessary on submission won't it be questioned these time.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 9:39pm On Sep 13
Your bank statement is not a complete sufficient proof of fund, when the inflow and outflow is not consistent with your salary. You need to explain to the ECO how you were able to save 550K over 6 months from an income of £106 per month less monthly expenses. You stated that your monthly expenditure is £40 per month. How reasonable can you spend less that N25,000 per month in present day Nigeria? If you indeed had additional sources of income (land documents, shares etc), to support your bank statement, you failed to present such. You can go ahead and present them in your new application and explain to the ECO that you did not initially see the need in your previous application. However, you will still need to explain to the ECO how you got the fund to acquire those shares or properties!
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 9:51pm On Sep 13
N550K is about £1100. So if you save £106 every month, you will need more than 10 months to save £1100!!! So you need to explain this N550K thoroughly to convince the ECO.

Good Morning to Everyone on here, I would submit my application in few days from now but I want to ask a question concerning my financial support for the trip, is it safe for me to submit my active 3months statement of account and back it up with my pay slip that would also be active for 3months, that shows monthly salary payment and monthly tax deduction by my employer.

Please I need advice on how to use a joint account for a visitors application. I understand that my wife and I need to fill separate forms but since we got married we have been running a joint account. Our landed property is also in our names though we have a fixed deposit in my wife's name
How do we state thes in our individual applications? Just to add, we both studied and worked in the UK before relocating to Nigeria in 2012/2013.

Amen and God will surely grant it in Jesus name. Am doing that for my children and not for myself so if i have 10m, i will spend it on my wife giving birth in the US. Am of the future if Jesus Tarries. Train the children in the fear and admonition of the Lord and give them the best education in a good enviroment bet u my brother, you will have rest at your old age. So am aware of the investment you are talking about and i also have reasons for my actions. Many thanks

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 1:27pm On Sep 14
I really don't understand why you thought that this will fool the ECO or why you even think its a good idea.
What you have being doing for the past 3months is wrong for visa application purposes.
Inflow and outflow means nothing without good cash balance and proof of source of that money.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by kokoboy4life(m): 1:45pm On Sep 14
Thanks so much for the reply, my appointment is on Monday and I have already printed out the bank statement of 3months,I will support with payslips of 6months.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 1:49pm On Sep 14
I'm not sure that will work but you can still give it a go.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Brightingsus: 2:52pm On Sep 14
This is risky, very risky. It could work, it might not work. Inasmuch as payslips are as important as bank statements, only the bank statements will explain your circumstances as they bear your inflow AND OUTFLOW. The ECO needs to establish your financial circumstances and how money flows through your account and if you are well established in your home country. They judge this by your account balance and how much you have left every month after the outflows. 6 months payslips and 6months bank stammers are good.
My personal advise is log into you application account online and shift your appointment date. You can do this up to 24 hours before your appointment. Within this time you would have got your full 6 months bank statements. Better still, today is Thursday; you can go to any branch of your bank today, or even tomorrow, and obtain full 6 months bank statements.
It's better to have more documents than too few. My advice...
