The legislative Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Awka, Anambra state on Monday upheld the election of Princess Stella Oduah as the validly elected Senator for Anambra North Senatorial district.

She was the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the March 28, 2015 National Assembly election conducted in the state.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the election for the district, Chief Dubem Obaze had shortly after the election approached the tribunal with petition alleging that the election was marred by substantial non-compliance, malpractices and irregularities and figures arbitrarily awarded to candidates in wards in Onitsha South, Onitsha North and Ogbaru local government areas which favoured the PDP candidate, Princess Stella Oduah.
