The Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah Islamic Society (ASWAJIS) has said Islam in Nigeria faces very grievous problems as a result of the dangerous preaching ideologies introduced to the religion by different sect.
The group stated this in a communiqué issued after a 2 day training for Islamic preachers in kaduna.
The communiqué signed by Sheik Binyamin Yusuf and Abdul Waheed Abdul Azeez, Chairman and Secretary of the Society respectively stated that such preaching is alien to Islam.
“Muslim preachers are hereby enjoined to put the new knowledge they acquired at the Forum on dialogue into practice by engaging their misled colloquies on peacefully with the aim of guiding them aright.
“The Forum commends the efforts of the new Federal Government, under the leadership of President Muhammad Buhari, in combating insurgency in the country and prays for the success of the new government especially in finding lasting solution to the problems of corruption, economy and insurgency. “ the statement reads.
The program which was third of its kind drew participants from Kaduna state and its environs including big personalities such as: Sheikh Tukur Isa, the Chairman of Izalatul Bid’ah was Iqamatus Sunnah Society (JIBWIS), Kaduna State, Sheikh M. T. Sulaiman, Amirul ‘Amir of ASWAJIS, Sheikh Sani Yakubu, the head of JIBWIS, Zaria Chapter, among others as well as great Islamic scholars from far and near.

Good move but they should take a step further and denounce islam as well cause terrorism is deeply ingrained in islam since it was founded by their criminal prophet.
