I had a crush when I was in Jss1 on Mary. This girl was damn super fine (then) and my heart always skipped a beat anytime I saw her in class, but I never had the balls yo tell her and she was this open person been that she came from UK, also she had a twin brother David. So one day I was going home with my best bud then Tomi, we got talking and we started talking about the girls they were dope in school, then Mary became Lead topic, I told this my best friend everything I had in my heart ooo. Fast forward to the next day , Tomi tells David who happens to be in the same class with Tomi that I had a crush on his twin sister, na how this guy just run come enter my class during short break (During break time the girls stay in class and I also stay , just to watch Mary ! grin ) and screamed ,"****** You say you love Mary". Omo shame catch me oo , all the girls were sth(shaking their head ) for me saying am a spout brat. But in my mind I felt at least the Job has been done, she knows I like her. Fast forward to 3 weeks later na how rumor start for school say girls don go report guys to the Sister(Catholic School) say we too dey disturb them.
After a week, dem call us out for assembly , gave us the Tag name L.B.A(Lover Boys Association) , flogged us 24 strokes but our teacher then na correct bros he made it quick. That wasn't all when our principal came late Chief A.A Idowu Omo the man para , called us back and told us to design the football field with stones, that took us two weeks, then he said we should return the stones that took us One week. Till today I never spoke to that girl ooo swear down.

writing Love letters is still a in-thing in our secondary schools. Besides, some schools don't allow phones.

My own experience was a more interesting one. I attended a Modern School after primary which is equivalent of present-day Middle School or JSS3. There was this young girl from a secondary school not far from my school. She was so young that you can hardly distinguish between her and the students if not for the uniform, some students were even older than her. She was an Auxiliary Teacher (teachers who didn't go to Teachers Training College or college of education or university are known by that name). Most guys were rude to her but I had special respect for her because what baffled me was her age and the educational qualification - WASC? Somehow, we got attracted to each other and after the school hours we were like husband and wife. We were just friends and not more than that. One of our teachers who had his eyes on her got to know how close we were and I was persecuted for being his "rival." My gain, later, was the lessons she assisted me with and it helped me to skip going to spend another four years in the secondary school. Two years of rigorous coaching while working with her help catapulted me into the University two years after leaving the Modern School. We met later as students at the great University of Ife. (she was a year ahead of me) and our love life blossomed to a full relationship which would have ended in marriage if not because of our religious differences that didn't go down with her parents. That was my only remarkable school romance experience.

Sorry, if you did not attend a mixed secondary school...cheesy cool The fact is that you missed a lot!!! wink. I attended a mixed secondary school with lots of lively boys and girls and you know what? Secondary school romance is one thing you look back at and smile! wink. You just smile at your 'innocent childishness' but what could you have done then? Life is in stages and one must attain different stages and outgrow them later.

I remember these with nostalgia!!! cheesy

1) I wrote a love letter to a girl in JSS2 and I was in JSS3. I never knew she was a 'mama's pet' and she started crying! She reported the matter to the principal who was never in good terms with me and I was asked to carry hollow block in front of the entire students during morning assembly! I couldn't raise my head to walk uprightly in the school premises for one week. See shame!!! grin Even my younger sister tell me say I f-up die!!!

2) In SS2, a new babe was admitted to my class. She was damn pretty and every guy wanted to be her friend! In order to play a sharp Warfi guy, I started 'escorting' her home everyday from school to be 'closer than others'. I even shun other babes for her sake and in the end, her dad was transfered to another state, so she left...she didn't spend up to a term! Those babes who I 'relegated' ganged up with some bad belle guys and they started calling me 'Escortoyor' (guy wey dey escort babe only)!!! It took the grace of Baba God before that name was erased! grin

Abeg, you can share yours! cheesy

Happy weekend to all!!!

Let's keep the fun rolling...cheesy!!!

Nice name dude!! Escortoyor(in Phino's voice) cheesy cheesy

He was afraid to put it, I gave d guy courage but he was still afraid, as he was panicking about the letter

The letter mistakenly entered d girl locker

Through a tiny hole... Funny tho d girl locker was locked with these Tokoz Padlock.

And we can't break it, cos it might lead to another punishment

Monday Morning came, Nah so d girl enter class open locker see Tomisin love letter, Tomisin sef dey feel himself say Nah him get d babe.

Uno what d girl came to where Tomisin was seating, gave him 3 dirty and beautiful slaps grin

The class was shocked smiley as Tomisin couldn't revenge by beating her, They later discover he wrote a love letter.

His case was reported to d VP Mr Obas Nah so dem talk say make him cut grass for 3 weeks

After we left High school

You know what.... Tomisin and Jumoke met at Uni

And you know what happened

They're dating now....

I mean dey love themselves like kilode now

Hmmn... mine is a bit different story.

I was in Pry 6, young, naive but brilliant. I used to win awards as best overall student during Prize Giving Days.
There was this girl i liked so much, her name was Taiwo Bajomo. I had thought of all possible ways to approach the matter but none came to fruition. So I thought to confide in my padi padi of life-Babalola. He told me to write a love note and hide it in Taiwo's desk after school hours. Hmmn...sweet plan abi. We even devised ways to change the handwriting so no one would know it was me.

On that fateful day, I waited behind after everyone had gone home alongside Babalola. I even changed my handwriting as a disguise measure. I could vividly recall I didnt include my name because if I did, I would be in hot soup. I folded the small sheet of paper three times, dumped it in her desk and went home.

The following morning, around 11.20; just at the time we were about to go for long break, that was how our class teacher then, Mr. Adeleye called me to his table. I sensed something had gone wrong for him to call me in an unusual manner. The only one thing he would call me for was to answer questions in class, which I always did, brilliantly well.

Looking with utter disappointment, he asked me: "Anthony, what do you know about love?" For the first time in my life,I felt so shameful and wished the ground could just open up and swallow me in it. I felt so ashamed and surprised at the same time. All the rehearsed answers to the dictionary definition of love eluded me. I was so sad. I looked in utter dismay.
I couldnt say a word! I just prayed and wished no one else knew about it. But i was sure she would have narrated the story to her twin brother; Kehinde.

I didnt talk to Taiwo for a month plus. Even when i wanted to borrow eraser, I would put up this straight look and pretend all i wanted was an eraser. Taiwo should be studying Medicine now, while our teacher would have retired by now

Two questions have kept bothering me till date:
1. How did Taiwo ever know that I was the one who wrote the letter?
2. Why would Taiwo go and report me to the class teacher; Mr Adeleye for someone expressing his genuine admiration of her?

Memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ebun was my crush in primary school. His father was a neurosurgeon in luth then. Most of us in the school, our parents were working in luth. He was so so brilliant. Won all the awards then. We entered the same secondary school. But not the same class. Jss2 first term he valled me. Was going home wiv school bus when his best friend efe came to my window and told me to come down. And gave me cake, flowers, etc. Everybody started screaming o even my seniors.

I didn't no how to tell my parents so I lied that my friend who is a girl valled me and I want to buy something back. So dad gave my big sister money to buy vals present for the girl that valled me. When we got to the super market, my sister was picking teddy bear and girly things. cry. I wanted to die. Luckily enough I spoted a nice big sewing kit and in jss 2, they were already teaching us sewing in home economics. I told my sister I wanted that. And chocolates and all those fanciful biros and pen. A very big set. The next day when I got to school my friend titi sent it to him in class after so much paparazzi. Everybody was watching. She dropped it for me and I ran away. Am still friends wiv him. He left in jss2 cus his father died. Relocated to the u.s. I prayed a lot for him to come back embarassed. We are still friends. He is Still very brilliant. Has his own company. LBF. Please go like his page and support him. Life, breathe, football. It's a soccer football clothing brand...... Those are one of the Nigerians doing us proud.

I was in SS 2 and there was this dazzling fair girl in my class whom most guys back then died for ever since she got admitted into our school in SS1. Meanwhile, I never knew back then that she was craving for me too until one day. She asked me for my note ( which she often did) but on this particular occasion, as she was returning the note, she inserted 2 Oxford Digestive biscuits into d book. When I got the package, I was stunned to my bone marrows. Actually that was what I have ever longed for - her love and attention - and see her being the one to make the first real move. But see me oh, I very childishly became afraid afterwards that next time ( not long afterwards) she asked for my note again, I refused to oblige her instead told her someone else was already with it. Unfortunately she laater knew I had lied big time because not long after at all, she saw another girl collect d note from me. She rushed to where I was and flung my lie to my face but very pathetically. I never forgave myself afterwards even till now because this was same girl I had been dying for, even had wet dreams about, come to give me her love and because of my childish shyness I lost it for good.
