zoning the presidential ticket to the north is going to be a great mistake on the side of PDP
And this are why
1) it is nearly impossible for any body to win Buhari in the core North.... Especially now he is the president
2) APC infiltration of the middle belt.... This region use to be a strong hold of PDP but they have been made to feel like second class certicizens in the last 16 years of PDP rule.
3) the igbos will feel betrayed..... Trust we the igbos once you betray us. ... We will take our ponds of flash. .. . If the presidential ticket is zoned to the north.. .. Most igbos won't bother to vote and the total votes from south East won't be upto 3 million votes

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
1) PDP should come up with a relatively young and technocrat from the south East as there presidential candidate... And pick a vice from the middle belt
2) a presidential candidate from the middle belt and a vice from the east
WHY WEB THIS WORK?
A critical look at the last election reviews the strength of each region.....
With either options this what PDP WILL GET
1) more votes from south East..... In the last election many igbos never saw the need to go and vote...... But if any of the above option is taken... This will change... And the total votes from this region will be as high as 6 million votes trust me.
2) the middle belt will be retaken from PDP... ... and this will be a big blow to APC... This will allow PDP get over 65% to 75% of the votes in the middle belts
3) the northern minority will side PDP and this will probably give them the much needed 25% in many Northern states
4) the south south votes are already locked down as this will be time to pay back the igbos
5) the West are the least important when the number of votes in this country is considered so...... This is always going to be shared between the two main parties
This will give PDP more than 17 million votes and with that's victory should be sure
While this just my own opinion
