https://www.nairaland.com/2700844/man-steals-oyedepo-runs-mad/5#39552523 It important to highlight some facts about the great man called Oyedepo
Bishop Oyedepo rules his empire by instilling fear and by intimidation. He often paints a picture of himself as a guard of Hell's gate with enormous powers to curse or bless people. Blessings for those committed financially to the expansion of his empire and curses for those who dare challenge his interpretations to scripture verses
He often applys physical assaults to ensure compliance with many agents of the State Security Services, the Police and top lawyers on his payroll. Sometimes he uses terminologies associated with occults or the more traditional Judaism like Covenant, Curse, Seed, Mantle, Portions of anointing, Cure, Psalms, Vengeance and brute force. Which mostly runs at variance with the teachings of Jesus
The fact is that Oyedepo has powers which has been usefully applied to disposses members of their finances. He is a master of such art and many of his branch managers are good students of his, often times he has been at loggerheads with his regional managers for remittances of money dispossessed from members to his HQ account. For those Regional heads who have grown not to fear his threats of curse, he took to court example his former Ghana manager. I guess he learnt some lessons from that with the introduction of some modifications. The UK branch is managed by his Son instead of an outsider who may one day fail to remit adequately millions in pounds extracted from African - immigrant coverts
The ingenuity of Bishop Oyedepo cannot be overlooked in the history of Hybrid Christianity. The American inventors of the Hybrid will envy his modifications, it could be someone's PhD thesis and a very good book for youths aspiring to start up empires like such.
I will not be in a haste to denounce Oyedepo as practicing some form of modified ancient arts as some have done, however, I have some strong reservations about his inventions vis a viz the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have no cause to fear or venerate Oyedepo as I can't share my reverence for God with any man. It is always about choices, someone says the Bishop is his God, another says no his is Ayo Oritsejafor, another says no the God he sees is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and yet many others say it is Pastor E. A. Adeboye.

Bend it or modify it, the foundation of Christianity lies in the teachings of the Jesus and His Apostles it condones no modifications, no inventions, no parochial interpretations or denominations to it no matter the superiority of the argument

OP can yu just leave bishop oyedepo alone and serve God? I've sensed how much it pinches yu seeing rich men of God.

What you've posted above shows ur belief that any rich pastor exploits his members. But sorry, that's a big lie!

Stop saying he curses people who don't support expansion of His kingdom and give one example. Your bitterness seem huge.

If you don't believe in him/his calling/teaching, why don't you just leave the rich man alone? May lives have been blessed spiritually, physically and even financially as a result of his vision. Let who serves God serve Him, after all you are not God.

People attacking the Op cos they prefer 'what works' to the truth.

I mean if a so called pastor's/bishop's teaching is at variance with Christ's, is it not enough reason to flee from him and obey Christ? And save your souls?

Matthew 24:11
"And many false prophets will arise and lead
many astray."

2Peter 2:3
" In their greed they will make up clever lies to
get hold of your money. But God condemned
them long ago, and their destruction will not
be delayed."

Matthew 7:15
" "Beware of false prophets who come
disguised as harmless sheep but are really
vicious wolves."

Who are those being referred to here? imams? nope. They are your pastors who you esteem above the word of God.

Sadly, this is what is going to happen to all of you who have taken sides against the truth

2Thesselonians 2:10-12

those perishing, in return for which they did
not receive the love of the truth in order for
them to be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Make no mistake, bishop Oyedepo believes in sola scriptura. His teachings are not at variance with the bible, just that most of his biblical interpretations are at variance with some conventional xtain doctrinces.

It usual to hear this statement from the competing empires. One million souls or membership under a hybrid gospel does not guarantee heaven.
The issue of heaven is a more serious business than the prosperity jamboree marketed and distributed. One danger with the Hybrid gospel is that it will eventually breed pseudo Christians whose hearts are set firmly in the love of the World as against the teachings of Christ not to love the world and the things of the world
In another place, it says the love of many for God will wax cold
It is already happening

You have a proper understanding of how to get souls to heaven than Jesus himself. How many have you escorted to heaven? Gombs, come help this broda with maths. Seems he can't count grin

Satan is a great guy is also a funny thing, there is no logic to greatness. Satan does not sleep, there are many Satanic visions that apparently may be mistaken for God's vision. There are many pseudo-Christianity and many more will come
God is not the author of confusion 1 Corin 14:26-40
There are many Pastor's yesteryears, who fasted and had prolonged vision of God's salvation plan but today have shown preference for extorting people, establishing empires, fighting with employed branch managers(branch pastors) over who gets what, developing schemes to capture more of the youths with decent income into "sow seed for god's work group of companies"
Now you have pastor's claiming God sent them to make the world rich and to bless those who could sow covenant seed, Politicians who steal the common wealth of the Nation, donate large sums as seeds in exchange for the man of god's blessings and promotion of their candidature, people who rob their employers are commended for their bounteous donations towards god's work.

The picture of God painted by these men is unfortunately looking more like that of a cunning Devil.
Rev 6:2 A white horse, He had a bow( but no arrow) he went out conquering and to conquer. Rev 19:19 He romanced with the Kings of the earth, had their armies with him( bodyguards) and made them worshippers of the image and mark( Lusts and Riches )
Compare this with the King of Kings on white horse Rev 19:11-16 who will never bless thieving Politicians nor Promote them on his altar, out of whose mouth goes sharp sword that put all lies, unfaithfulness and deceit of the agents of the beast to the weighing scale of the Almighty God.

This is the problem with AFRICAN form of Christianity and not peculiar to David Oyedepo.
Its troubling when fellow Christians are conscious of this fact yet pay no attention to biblical knowledge itself rather they sheepishly follow a charismatic leader

Is that the new prayer or you are just preempting the way it will be?
We are getting close that time and you'ld have to pity fellow country men who have been imprisoned, sentenced and committed to a live of servitude in the companies of Pastorpreneurs. Why do men like to be enslaved and not enjoy the liberation that Christ offered?
A time will come when men in Africa and Nigeria in particular will pray that way and claim testimonies to prove something about the unlimited abilities of the lords and gods(Pastors, Prophets and Bishops) they have created for themselves.

definitely, from the look of things, I would not be surprised if the name of Jesus is replaced with names of pastorpreneurs during prayer sections, I don't know what is is wrong with us as a nation, we believe so easily every rubbish that comes out of our pastors, is it difficult for us to sit down, reason and analyse ways of duping of the men of world, I have been critising so many men of the world for so long a time most especially the arrogant and flamboyant ones who go about duping in the name of God. Imagine, a pastor commanding me to ear grass, or telling me to permit my wife go on 4 month pastors conference with him abroad. I think religion needs checking

The problems are not religion !

The real problem lie with thousands of FAKE pastors that deceive their congregation into believing that the Holy Gospel is all about clever motivational speeches without POWER. A genuine pastor does what Jesus does.

See for yourself how Jesus Himself put an anti-scam plan in place so the world can accurately spot a FALSE pastor from a GENUINE pastor.

Jesus says to all pastors, ministers and evangelists that truly want spiritual enlightenment and power to help the suffering masses;

Joh 14:12 Truly, Truly, I say to you, He that believes me, the miracles/ WORKS that I do will you also do; and greater (more) miracles/WORKS than these shall you do; because I must soon go unto my Father.

Today, we are blessed to have the evidence Jon 14:12, of Jesus’ WORKS Biblically and scientifically verified in the Holy Scoan Church Nigeria and on Emmanuel TV.

A pastor, minister, evangelist will be know by their WORKS so that fake pastors can be separated from the real pastors. The wheat is separated from the chaff.

Only the WORKS bear witness of a real pastor, not their elaborate speeches, conferences and motivational speeches. John 14:12

What are these WORKS that Jesus always refer to ?

They are the miracles, prophecy, signs and wonders. Jesus also instructs all pastors, ministers, evangelists to do the same. Jesus says to them,”As my father sent me, so send I you.”

Now the world finally have a free education channel 24 hours a day, seven days a week on Emmanuel TV demonstrating true scientifically verifiable evidence and deeper meaning of John 14:12

funny, everyone thinks himself holy, so Oyedepo's doctrines are at variance with the teachings of Christ, yet He has lead more souls to Christ than you can and will ever think of.

I'm sure you know that judging another man is also at variance with Christ's teachings.

I have heard these lines before and it has no effect whatsoever on me. And if I may ask which Christ is he leading the souls to? As far as I am concerned the Bishop has shown more in recent times that his personalized god of Shiloh is definitely different from God Almighty whose only mediator for man is Jesus Christ.
I don't care what you think about the Bishop as long he continues with his method which I have summarized above, he propagates alternative doctrines and his god of shiloh is one in many of such gods
Judgement in the Biblical meaning of it belongs to God. It involves condemning a soul to Hell which I have never done.
What you call judgement here is simply a phrase false prophets had invented to guard themselves against scrutiny via the provisions of the scripture. It is similar to the misrepresented 'touch not my anointed'. The exposition of the unfruitful works of darkness is Biblical and will continue as long as false Christs and alternative gospels abound.
Exposition, scrutiny, criticism and warnings about something is done by all men, is not judgement correct yourself if you please.

I particularly have no issues with the tales telling about nazarene, by Mr Oyedepo.

It's the manipulation and mental conditioning mechanism acts, of which oyedepo himself is a victim, that's of interest to me.

Oyedepo gimmicks includes:

1. Oyedepo claimed that he doesn't take salary from the church. He then told the sheepmaniacs, "why would God not bless me financially"?

* The gimmicks?

A. He own dominion publishing house, where he publishes his recycled lies under different outrageous book titles.

He makes this books the textbook for each month, that's tagged to the title of the recommended book.

Eg he can call January, my month of "financial success",and all his books that relate to success and finance, will be recommended, and the sheepmaniacs rush to buy them.

This is how oyedepo grossed in millions into his earthly treasury every month round the year.

B. Oyedepo has this one that he termed "the lesser is blessed of the higher ".

By this, oyedepo told the sheepmaniacs that if they continually and sacrificially dash their resources to somebody higher than them spiritually (he had himself in mind), they will be blessed.

By this deception, the sheepmaniacs, in their thousands, contributes their hard earned money to oyedepo's earthly treasury.

These are just the two gimmicks out of many, that oyedepo uses to stack up earthly riches, that he sometimes preached about as vanity.

Oyedepo deceives men to become rich, but asked the deceived men to look up to skydaddy for their own riches.

you call it, but the the truth is, if you are subjected to the same test, you will discover that you are no better than those you criticize, if you think Oyedepo deserves proper scrutiny, then Let God be the one to do that, you are not the judge, you should be more concerned about your Own salvation(which is personal), instead of desperately trying to magnify or point out the sins of another man, when you are not
perfect yourself.

Child, you are repeating yourself. I think I have addressed this. What you wrote that I just quoted is also a scrutiny and criticism of my position on the activities of your Bishop. And from all indications, you are a victim of the psychic manipulations of false preachers who are afraid of being exposed and would rather prefer that all remain silent while they continued in their unwholesome arts

Tell your pastor that as long as he is involved in unfruitful works of darkness he will be scrutinized, exposed and criticized by men while judgement(biblical meaning) like I described will be done by God. A fake Pastor or Bishop can also be judged (circular meaning) and sentenced according to the laws of the land when he is caught red handed in crime like Bishop Rev King Ezeugo. All misrepresentation of touch not my anointed will be correctly ignored and the ill-gotten wealth( extorted from sheeples) will not find a channel through his defence team to the Adamant Judge.

Topgainer:

All these so-called MOGs, complete with their titles and kingdom have nothing to do with God.

Jesus Christ warned furiously against the many false prophets and Teachers who will come in his name. They are in direct disobedience of the very commandments of Jesus Christ, setting themselves as teachers and authorities over His sheep, offering alternate truths that the Truth of Jesus Christ.

There are no MOGs or Prophets in the Kingdom of God.
