John Mikel Obi’s time at Chelsea seems to be up. His manager, Jose Mourinho has repeatedly said that he is interested in buying one more midfielder to add more spine to his team and the most obvious casualty is 28 year old Mikel Obi.   



The Super Eagles midfielder was used sparingly during  the past season and even when other midfielders were absent through suspension and injuries,  Jose Mourinho trusted youngsters like Reuben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Ake.

According to the Express UK, Chelsea are yet to agree a fee with an certain outfit for the midfielder’s transfer, only time will tell when Mikel will join Xavi Hernandez and Asamoah Gyan in the middle east.

Meanwhile African football reports that Mikel has agreed to sign for Al Ain having agreed personal terms.
