President Muhammadu Buhari has scrapped the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) and also ordered the Presidential Committee and workers of the agency to close shop. The President’s order was delivered to the SURE-P Committee through a letter from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
As expected, The President has ordered a probe into their activities, funding and expenditure of the agency. President Muhammadu Buhari in the letter directed the panel to wind down the operations of SURE-P on or before October 31, 2015 and submit a comprehensive report of its activities to The Presidency.

Must it b scrapped for him to look into it's activities?? Why not probe it's activities first and den from findings decide what next.. So far not even a policy yet. If dis report is anything to go by, then Dis govt is trying to do so many things at same time and as such not giving much action to all their talk.. One step at a time. If u want to probe NNPC face dem squarely and while dat is done face other sectors like power and infrastructure.

The nature of humans is: in trying to solve one problem they create 10 more problems.

They should stop all this their close this, close that and start creating this and that... What empowerment program have they established since they came into power yet they are increasing the already populated labour market...SMH

The end of fuel subsidy has come,afterall the poor does not benefit from but the cabals instead of selling kero at the subsidies price of N50 they sell at N140.
