Imo State

www.nairaland.com/attachments/3037430_500pxnigeriaimostatemap_png152403a8688bda0172c62359428be939

Imo state is bordered by Abia State on the East, by the River Niger and Delta State on the west, by Anambra State to the north and Rivers State to the south. Besides Owerri, Imo State's major towns are Isu, Okigwe, Oguta, Orlu, Akokwa, Mbaise, Mbaitoli, Mbieri, Orodo, Nkwerre, Ubulu, Ngor Okpala, Omuma, Mgbidi, Awo-Omamma and Orsu.

The state is rich in natural resources including crude oil, natural gas, lead, zinc. Economically exploitable flora like the iroko, mahogany, obeche, bamboo, rubber tree and oil palm predominate.

However, with a high population density and over farming the soil has been degraded and much of the native vegetation has disappeared.

This deforestation has triggered soil erosion which is compounded by heavy seasonal rainfall that has led to the destruction of houses and roads.

Anambra is a state in southeastern Nigeria. Its name is an anglicized version of the original 'Oma Mbala', the native name of the Anambra River.

The capital and seat of government is Awka. Onitsha, Nnewi and Ekwulobia are the biggest commercial and industrial cities, respectively. The state's theme is "Light Of The Nation". Boundaries are formed by Delta State to the west, Imo State and Rivers State to the south, Enugu State to the east and Kogi State to the north.

The origin of the name is derived from the Anambra River (Omambala) which is a tributary of the famous River Niger.

The indigenous ethnic group in Anambra state are the Igbo (98% of population) and a small population of Igala (2% of the population) who live mainly in the north-western part of the state.

Anambra is rich in natural gas, crude oil, bauxite, ceramic and has an almost 100 percent arable soil.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/3037700_500pxnigeriaebonyistatemap_png001a3e82e0f4ab52e51d80554b2e22f2

Ebonyi is a state of Nigeria, in the south of the Eastern region. It is inhabited and populated primarily by Igbo.

Its capital and largest city is Abakaliki. It is one of the six states created in 1996 by the Abacha government. Ebonyi was created from parts of both Enugu State and Abia State.
It home to four Higher institutions of learning which include: Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki (EBSU); Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI); Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana; and Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu.

Ebonyi is primarily an agricultural region. It is a leading producer of rice, yam, potatoes, maize, beans, and cassava in Nigeria.
Rice and yams are predominantly cultivated in Edda, a region within the state. Ebonyi has several solid mineral resources, including lead, crude oil, and natural gas, but few large-scale commercial mines.

The state government has, however, given several incentives to investors in the agro-allied sector to encourage production. Ebonyi is called "the salt of the nation" for its huge salt deposit at the Okposi and Uburu Salt Lakes.

Lacking in points and in facts. Anambra is an oil producing zone. Imo and Abia has large oil deposits. Oil can also be found in some amount in Ebonyi and enugu. Ebonyi has gold and other solid minerals
