Health Implications Of Eating Too Much Bread. by GDex1(m): 11:49pm On Nov 06, 2015 |
These days i seem to have developed an unusual love and appetite for bread. I actually eat bread everyday. My usual brand is Panis Angelicus sold at N100 (only a few people here would know it though). I enjoy it with tea, beans, coconut, groundnut, fish, akara, margarine and some other ways. Please i would like to know if there is any health implication of eating too much bread. Thank you. |

Too much of everything is not good. And on a more realistic note, you need to consume less flower. Boiling unripe plantain is a very good alternative. |

Too much bread is bad (especially if it's white bread) because it will spike your blood level. I love bread as well so I can't tell you to stop eating it but I would recommend either trying some wheat bread once in a while or looking for a brand of bread that has fewer calories in each slice. That way, you can eat the same number of slices but fewer calories (and sugar) in total. Pele the bread struggle is real Lol 2 Likes |

Bread gives you sugar and in dangerous amount. As a rule of thumb, eat foods that are void of processing from its natural form. Yam,plantain, fruits, vegetable etc. Bread has so many processed ingredient. |

I love bread too. But I read somewhere it causes ageing. It affects the skin collagen hence early wrinkles. Not just bread, but any processed carbohydrates. |

I don't think it's figure friendly, and you can't lose weight eating bread or any other refined carbs. I'll gain weight for just looking at bread. I notice pretty girls with what look like 5 months pregnancies in Nigeria, those are wheat tummies, and what bread will do to your if you don't stop eating it. Some even deceive themselves with wheat moulds which is even worse than our good old eba. I still eat eba in moderation(about my fist size and get on treadmill or 2 miles power walk) and drink gari instead of salty and MSG filled noodles that look and taste horrible. Who is even regulating that thing |
