Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has appointed
Professor Fidelis Olisamedua Njokanma as the Acting Vice
Chancellor of the Lagos State University, LASU, pending the
appointment of a substantive VC.
Njokanma, a Pediatrician, was until his appointment the Deputy Vice
Chancellor (Administration) of the institution.
The appointment came less than a week after the expiration of the
former Vice Chancellor, Prof John Obafunwa’s tenure on October
31st, 2015.
Obafunwa was appointed the 7th VC of institution by the immediate
past governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola on November 1, 2011.
