The Supreme Mavin Dynasty also known as Mavin Records today – November 11, 2015, unveiled its plans to host its very first concert in December tagged – Access Mavin Concert. The announcement was made at a press briefing hosted at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In his opening speech, Don Jazzy took time to elaborate on how he had been planning this concert since the label kicked off officially 3 years ago. “It will be a carnival-like, festival-like kind of concert; I have been working on it since the past three years and I know it will be a great presentation of our love to our fans.”

Top officials from the sponsoring bank, Access Bank – Amaechi Okobi (Group Head, Corporate Communications) and Victor Etuokwu (Executive Director, Personal Banking Division) were on ground to let everybody know why they are pushing their weight behind the Mavins. They also used the opportunity to let people know that one of the major access to attend the concert which will hold at the new Eko Atlantic is by using a new service called ‘Pay With Capture’. The service is a payment portal which can be downloaded on any smart phone and the show has been pegged at a token of N499 (Four hundred and ninety-nine Naira only). The executive director, Access bank also said, “Access Bank’s collaboration with Mavin is not because of profit. We know that Mavin has a huge following and they are the biggest music group in Nigeria right now, so, we are reaching out to their fans and also to the estimated 50% of youths that make up Nigeria’s population”.

HF magazine asked Don Jazzy if fans should be expecting performances by other Nigerian artistes and he responded saying, “We have plans to feature other artistes and we shall be unveiling them as time goes on, but for now it’s about the Mavin Dynasty. This event is like basically a loyalty reward for millions of Mavin fans across the world, especially in Nigeria and if it’s left to me, I would make it a free concert.”

The Access Mavin Concert will hold on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 and according to the organisers, it will be an annual event.
