The Nigerian military has vowed to capture the only remaining stronghold of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group before the December 2015 deadline given them by President Muhammadu Buhari to end insurgency in the country.

Speaking, while fielding questions from pressmen, during a routine visit to troops in Beta, Borno State, Major Gen, Yushau Abubakar, Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, stressed that his men would capture Sambisa forest before the December deadline given them by President Muhammadu Buhari.

General Abubakar noted that the military, in recent times, has recorded lots of successes in their fight against insurgency in the north eastern part of Nigeria. “We have achieved a lot and we are still doing much, but you know that the job is still there until we finish it.
