Can all these works be done at once? Let's give the new government time to work.

1)No it can't be done at once...but I hope he isn't trying to buy people over only to backslide to status quo once he's bought their emotions...I wish Abia can compete with Anambra positively because she has got the potential...

2)Has Ikpeazu considered meeting with some sane Southeast governors cum businessmen for sort of contributory project of mutual importance eg Seaport...Sourcing funding for such project through PPP involving indigenous government and indigenous businessmen isn't hard...It needs just sincerity and dedication...Developing Abia vis a vis Southeast economy should be of Paramount importance to any progressive and sincere leader now...

3)Poor allocation isn't a problem... Good financial management is the ONLY thing required...Peter Obi set Anambra on solid infrastructure and financial setting with NO loan but more savings, while his colleagues were rushing to take loans...

4)Ability to cut off sycophants and godfathers is key here...Masses will support him 200% if he's found to be sincere...Peter Obi proved this against Obj in 2003/2007...

more later...kudos

We the Yorubas demand an unalloyed and undiluted APOLOGY from the igbos now! igbos r d Genesis of d problem of dis country, traitors who master-minded and called other tribe young military men to agreement that every corrupt big men all regions should be killed, yet they deceitfully spared their greedy leaders in January 29,1966 Coup. Little wonder 3million of them had to die by the fire of deception they started. Even GOD Almighty hate deception! The civil war would not have happened. In d January 1966 igbo coup, Brgd Ademulegun, Col Fajuyi and other Great Youruba Millitary Men were killed, as usual d ever deceitful igbos, against the agreement, told their greedy leaders to skedaddle.Against the agreement, igbos are pathological betrayers and liars. As against the agreement then, Ojuckwu's and his igbo army betrayed the Yorubas and tried to invade Yoruba Land through Ore in 1967. The senseless materialism blinded fart filled cranium igbo soldiers were actually advancing till they met their catastrophic bloody waterloo in the hand of common Yoruba Hunters at a place called Asewele close to Ore. The igbos uniforms stuck to their body like skin and their attempts to put them off got their flesh torn and ripped off in blood. Terrified, they were then slaughtered like chickens. what a terrible and evil-minded traitors igbos are!
At Ore, they met their Water-Loo at the hand of common Yoruba hunters (the igbos soldiers cloths tenaciously clung to their flesh, became the same with their body, and attempts to pull it off teared their flesh, blood flowed and fear came upon them) they were then mercilessly slaughters like chickens.
That was their last attempt to ever try to take war to Yoruba Land.
igbos are the most deceitful and unreliable set of people on Earth. You'll enter into an agreement them but they'll surely stab you right at your back, guaranteed! Worst still, they'll try to play on your intelligence by alleging you of the exact evil they are obviously guilty of.
For 3 unforgivable offenses:
1.) Sparing their own currupt people during the 1966 Coup
2.) For again breaching agreement having the effrontery to enter Ore during the war
3.) Most important of all, for trying to play on the intelligence of the Great Yoruba people, by having the effrontery to demand for apology at all when they should have been using your mouth to wipe the floor begging the Yorubas for forgiveness.
We, the Yorubas demand an unalloyed and undiluted APOLOGY from the igbos now! When next u see a Yoruba, duff your hat and bow for him/her!

Am no civil engineer, but can 'concrete road' handle the thermal stress?

I've seen roads patched with concrete, didn't last at all.

I'm a Civil Engineer.

Such a road in this climate has disadvantages. The rapid heating and cooling of the surface during the typical African rainy season gives cause for concern o.

The whole thing's gonna crack.

Besides, it seems they are reinforcing the bottom of the pavement. The top (near the surface) needs the steel more to resist tensile stress due to traffic load.

Maybe the Gov. knows stuff Engineers don't.

What plans does he have for waste management?...Can he immediately involve the private sector probably through LGA, but have to regulate and monitor their activities to avoid extortion of masses?...Ensuring a sparkling Abia cum Aba will help alot... not necessarily waiting in the fullness of time cheesy or for improved allocation... People will happily pay for such minor services once they see the dividends and sincerity of government though government should allow for free service at initial stage just as incentive to masses...

That's to show you when last and how long ago they saw a new road being constructed.
They have suffered enough of disappointment, in-fact, what they are seeing is nothing short of a miracle happening before their eyes.

Before the Colonial Masters left, the Britons made an historical observation while testing different tribes during Military exercises in the then new Nigerian Military. They said Yoruba military officers are unmatchably the best at inventing and developing catastrophically destructive military tactics and strategies. This was verified and corroborated during Biafran war. igbos can make chest-beat for as long as they want but, history has shown that they are not as half as intelligent as the great Yorubas! Brain is better than brawn (in fact, brain rules brawn).

Even though they try so hard to deny and hide it, one reason why igbos hate Yorubas so much is because they know that Yorubas are by far FAR much more intelligent than them. All igbos strategies, French military supports, plans and profuse frantic efforts was almost giving them Victory during the war. The war dragged on for almost 3 years.
Read History, Nigeria was actually losing till the Great unUniformed super intelligent Generallisimo; the Great Awolowo stepped in on the side of the Nigeria Military. He came up with the best military strategy that quickly and most effective ended the war that has dragged on for almost 3 Years. Typical of igbos, Coward fake chest-beater, Ojukwu dressed like a woman (tail between his legs, urinating on his body) fled before the fierce mercilessly Yoruba Soldier Bejamin Adekunle the Scorpion and other soldiers. Suddenly, the senselessness igbos that had been boasting came cap-in-hand, tongue-in-cheek, using their mouth to wipe the floor, weeping and begging Nigeria to have mercy on them. Yorubas are geniuses. When next you see a Yoruba, duff your hats and bow!

Except Yorubas decides to leave Nigeria, let igbos fight 10,000 biafra wars, we would defeat them! We did it before, we'll do it again and again...

let me describe you in 1 word STU.PID
why did you have to bring your tribal bigotry into this. Are you guys not tired of spreading hate For crying out loud what exactly do you gain from these

Gov okezie ikpeazu meeting with Aba business community on the aegis of Aba Chambers of Commerce led by Chief Anthony Enukeme (TONIMAS) in Abia State Governor's Lodge in Aba...the thrust of their meeting is how to revamp Aba.

He also met with former governor Dr Chukwumeke Ezeife.

[quote author=Ponponkon post=40113669]Thanks for acknowledging the fact that PH road is a federal road. There's an ongoing negotiation a known construction giant to start work there this dry season. Let's see whether President Buhari will refund the state for expenses that would be incurred there, you know we are in opposition but let's pray he doesn't play politics of 90% when it is time to refund. It has not been an easy journey so far,but in the fullness of time Abia State will take back its lost Glory[/

thanks for the info,it is well with Aba.

I am not a Politician. But i can tell you that, for the 1st time since the creation of Abia State, we now have a Governor who , a committed Christian, sincerely out to MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I know him and can authoritatively tell Abians to just continue to encourage & Pray for him.though State income( both Fed. & IGR) is down, but he will perform his best for the Abians. After 4years you will clearly see & feel the difference. QUOTE ME.
