24-year old Gbolahan Salami, has emerged as the top goal scorer of the just concluded 2014/2015 Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season. With 17 goals against his name, the Warri Wolves striker and Nigerian international was awarded the maiden edition of Rashidi Yekini Golden Boot Award – an award created to honour the late Rashidi Yekini.

Salami’s goals helped Warri Wolves to the second spot on the NPFL league table, behind Enyimba FC, who were crowned Champions on Sunday (November 15).
