The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has reiterated the upper chambers' readiness to investigate, at all cost, the alleged N25 billion Treasury Single Account (TSA) fraud. Senator Dino Melaye's on Tuesday moved a motion over a newspaper article allegedly blackmailing the Senate for pointing out the alleged fraud.

Reacting to the motion, Saraki said no blackmailing will stop the senate from carrying out its duty.

“No amount of either blackmail or intimidation will stop us from doing the work we have to do.

“We have a responsibility here to ensure that there are no leakages in government funds and if there are, we will call the attention of the public and do whatever it takes to salvage the situation; it is our responsibility.

“The fact about the TSA will come out and everybody will have opportunity before the committee to state the fact, the facts will speak for themselves,’’ he said. He noted that the Senate would soon inaugurate Standing Committees to enable it to begin its oversight function fully.

Pardon by who? APC? APC has nothing against him. His case is plainly judiciary. BTW, because Saraki wanna probe what is ordinarily not probeable, the APC should be afraid? You guys are joking. Most of you should go back to elementary school according to Lai Mohammed.

As far as his case is concerned, there's nothing to hold on here. Buhari can never be part of any act that will defraud the people. Whatever the senate stand to uncover in this journey will only be to the advantage of Nigerians(thats if there's any fraud in it). I learnt the Senate were only angry with the TSA just because it has denied them some of the leakages they use to enjoy before now. But whatever the case, we are watching and interested.

Saraki is just looking for the next lifeline to push his case, from ministers screening to TSA probing.

I support the probing though, a company cannot be making N25b monthly doing almost nothing while Youths remain jobless, even when such company employ people, they pay peanuts as salary.
