Biafra: Mbaka gives condition to support protest 2
By Our ReporteronNovember 19, 2015 National
*.Ugwuanyi hails him on employment
FromChinedu Asadu,Enugu
SPIRITUALDirector of Catholic Adoration Ministries Enugu, Rev. Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka, has given one condition on which he would support the ongoing pro-Biafra protests in the South-East and part of the South-South.
Mbaka said he would only support the agitation if those behind it come out to lead the struggle
He warned that the protests are capable of snowballing into a huge crisis of the scale associated with Boko Haram if not curtailed now.
Fr. Mbaka spoke during the launch of new products, Rapha Groundnut oil, Rapha Soya Oil and Rapha Carbonated Drinks, produced by his company, Aqua Rapha Investments Limited. He is chairman of the company.
Speaking, he lambasted those still fueling the pro- Biafra protests, saying it was capable of scaring away investors from the region.
He had, earlier in the week, incurred the wrath of Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) when he described the protests as ‘evil’.
His words: “If this nation collapses, it is on us all. If things go well, it is for our own good. I want you to know that if there is any of you here that is oppressed, we are being oppressed too. What I am begging is that things should be done in the right way. Because, if we continue like this, all the visions the governors of Igboland have, vision for employment and economic diversification, will be frustrated.
“No investor can come into a city filled with crises. So, wherever you are, saying, ‘let them (the protesters) move on’, the only way I can support it is when you join them. So, please, I am begging all of us, let us join hands and develop our place, Igboland.”
He also assured Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who was at the launch that his company would always support his administration.
Also speaking, Ugwuanyi commended him for using his company to provide 4,500 jobs for the people of the state.
Ugwuanyi noted that the state government is interested in such business initiatives, which create jobs for the people, as well as turn around the state’s economic fortunes, pointing out that there are enormous benefits that would accrue from his company.

Incase you donno Nnamdi KANU's mother and sister weren't left out as they were seen protesting...

Oga I can now strongly believe that you are blindly following the ryhtmn in your stomach....

Jonathan’s men sponsoring pro-Biafran protests–Group
Source: Punch.
A pan-Igbo group, The Igbo Conscience, says some former political office holders who served in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan were behind the Biafran revolt.
The TIC said this was why the protests gained momentum immediately after Jonathan was defeated at the poll.

The leader of the group, Mr. Monday Ubani, who is a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja branch, said this at a news conference in Lagos on Wednesday.
Ubani noted that during Jonathan’s administration, many Igbo politicians were given juicy appointments.

He, however, added that the appointments did not improve the standard of living of the people of the South-East.
He said, “As recently as six months ago, the Igbo occupied and boasted of occupying prime positions in the country during the six years of President Jonathan’s rule. Why is it that immediately after the defeat of the past regime in March, the cries of Igbo marginalisation rose to high heavens with slanderous allegations against the President-elect?

“What were the merits the Ndigbo derived from this much-vaunted strategic placing in critical positions for six years? Should the Igbo be crying of marginalisation just a few months after sitting on the upper echelons of the country’s political and economic spheres if these political beneficiaries benefitted the Ndigbo with their positions?

“Should roads and other facilities in the South-East be as dilapidated as they are today if we benefitted from these former office holders, some of whom are sponsoring the present agitations?”
Ubani said many Igbo youths had been brainwashed into believing that secession was the only way to address national problems.
He said even the late leader of the defunct Republic of Biafra, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, said that the Biafran struggle was a “struggle of the mind and not a physical one.”
He noted that countries like Pakistan and South Sudan, which seceded from India and Sudan respectively, had not fared better even after attaining independence.
He, therefore, urged the protesting youths to have a rethink.
Ubani said the philosophy of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra was at variance with Ojukwu’s and that was why the late Igbo leader never identified with MASSOB.
He said the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, was an impostor and did not have the interests of the Igbo at heart.

God bless thinking Igbos and not those miscreants calling themselves IPOB or IPOD.

he wasn't speaking with two sides of one mouth. He still stands on his no-support for Biafra agitation - He is simply saying that the struggle is no longer necessary now that we should rather support the governors in their quest to develop south-east.

Why is he now giving condition to endorse the protest if not interested?

Abeg he is speaking from both sides, nobody on earth should take this man serious.

euphemism bro!

he is just being mild - he is simply calling the protesters fools exposing themselves to harm while the instigators are staying out of harms way in their homes while encouraging protesters to keep up the protest!

True talk, make the organisers of the rally come out and identify themselves with factual reasons they are demanding for secession and not these IPOD singing and wailing all around without knowing what they are agitating for.

These Igbos biafra agitators are delusional. I will prefer someone as Rev. Mbaka as a hero any day over someone like Kanu and Nwanzururuike. This is one of the area the Yorubas outsand the Igbos, while the igbos celebrate people that provokes unrealistic agitation the Yorubas carefully celebrates people that projects realistic values, purpose and vision. Well if the igbos has chosen that the economic and development in their region to crumble on the ground of biafra agitation why not I give them my 100% support, they should take it to the next level, they should turn the region to boko haram experience. When that happens they should just stay in their region and not flee to the south west.

they tagged it MASSOB protest just to make sure that the word IPOB is totally killed but it didn't change anything now they are tagging it JONATHAN'S men sponsored protest. FYI, the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB led by Nnamdi Kanu are the ones protesting.

the biafrans re sick and tired of this great zoo in the world and there is nothing bad if they want to be free..
if parkistan or sudan did not succeed in transforming their own nation.
They should not be compared with the great biafra cos where they failed we the biafrans will succeeds. Amen.
