I think "ebe" is yam porridge. Its been sooooooo long since I heard that word.

~ERm only Non-Nigerian way i can think of Plantain being prepared as a main meal is what we call "Ebe" Pronounced "Ehbeh" It's like some sort of Porridge. . .

~Cassava,Yam,Plantains,Sweet Potato,Cocoa,Meat are some of the ingredients used. . .Boil em all together/Seperate Dont take my word for it tho,i've never cooked it . . . . usually cooked w/ Plam oil or Plain! It's Yummy when it doesnt have Dry Fish in it!!


~I Love Plantain more as a side dish kind of Food!

~Plantain w/ Black Pepper seasoned Chips
~Plantain w/ Diced Lamb Gravy Stew
~Plantain Wrap in Tortilla w/ mayo
~Plantain w/ Grilled fish

FL Gators:

Plaintain with :

*Fried eggs
*Bread
*Rice (stew, jollof, yellow rice etc)
*Beans (forgot what you call it, agboyin, I think )

Yea, its called Ebe. I think some people boil their own with beans too.
