At the 2nd Obong University Convocation ceremony held today, the 21st November. Miss Moureen Godfrey Akpaniwo emerge as the best graduating student for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 academic session. Miss Moureen bagged a first class in Economics with a CGPA of 4.51.

The ceremony gathered together dignitaries from all works of life and scholars to the university.
The present Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Honorable Commissioner for Education, Akwa Ibom state, Rt Hon. Aniekan Akpan, and the Chancellor of Knustford University College Ghana, Mr Douglas Boateng was in attaindance.

The convocation Lecturer was Professor Gabriel Ogunmola, who is the Chancellor of Lead City University and Chairman, Institute of Genetic Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine.
He delivered the 2nd Convocation Lecture of Obong University today by 2pm, which was titled “Public Private Partnership: The Role of Government in Developing and Sustaining Private Universities.

On speaking to the best graduating student "Miss Moureen Godfrey Akpaniwo", on her success, she said "Coming out with a first class comes with lots of challenges, but with hard work
and determination aimed towards one's goal, success can be archived. More so you must have PASSION in what you are studying, because passion is the key ingredient to success".

Further more, her advice to other students in the school, was "for them to work hard and always believe in them self, for this can get them to any height. Also they should make use of available opportunity that comes to them".
