In most countries, funerals are considered a sad event, numbers attending are not usually high unless, may be, the deceased was a popular figure or in most cases it is such that calls for media coverage. Most people would only consider going to a funeral if it was for someone directly connected to them and as such could count very few funerals they have attended in their lifetime.
