A Kenyan man, Geoffrey Odhiambo, stormed a church during service on Sunday demanding his money which his wife gave to the church as tithe for prayers.

The loan which is the equivalent of almost N400,000 was a loan collected from a bank by Odhiambo using his car as collateral. According to him, his wife took the money without his consent.

The wife defended herself by saying she gave the money as tithe for prayers because there were evil spirits and devils in her house.

Odhiambo complained that it was not the first time the woman had taken money to “Jesus Elevation Tabernacle.”

It took male ushers more than 10 minutes to eject Odhiambo from the midday service. He has reported the matter at Kisumu Central police station.
