However, as it is presently, Africa doesn't seem to need the help of UK government (or any other government) to destroy itself.
We got lame-ass, corrupt and incompetent political leaders to do that for us.
The influence of foreign governments has reduced to a reasonable extent in recent times. What our politicians do is loot the treasury and hide it in foreign banks, and invest in their real estates.

In other words, why would foreign governments bother to steal from us anymore, when all they need to do is fold their arms and wait for our "leaders" to bring the loot to them?
