Ahead of the December 5 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State, the
Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has been accused of designing ‘evil’ plans
to rig the poll and hatch what the critics refer to as a “civilian coup.”

A total of 120million naira has been put together to perfectthe plot, top community leaders in Bayelsa State revealed today.
The communities named Chief Government Tompolo, Jonathan Opuekite
and Godwin Orubebe as the hatchet men recruited to subvert the
mandate of the people. They are expected to work with Mr Asari
Dokubo with the intent of using the election as the last bastion of
resistance against the wind of change blowing across the country.
and to honour the relics of the past corrupt and inept PDP regime.
According to a letter written to the Inspector General of Police, IG), Arase by several communities and signed on their behalf by a prominent community leader in the state, Chief Ebiowei John Ayebatari who is a member of the Igiri Social Network Group, the PDP has established a Think Tank operating from the Presidential Hotel Port Harcourt to coordinate violence and massive rigging of the election. One notable official of the Independent Electoral Commission, (INEC), the communities claim, Baba Buka is said to be working with the plotters.

In the letter made available to our correspondent, Chief Ayebatari revealed
that Chief Turner is the Chairman of the Think Tank and Oforji while the
SA Environmental Sanitation is part of the group.

The plan, according to him involves using the Niger Delta People’s Force
Assembly (NDPFA) and the Niger Delta Determination Movement (NDDM)
to forment any fracas.

The communties said further that Senator Paulker and 10 others will coordinate the
distribution of fake ballot papers while the dispersal and snatching of
ballot boxes are to be coordinated by Asari Dokubo, Timi Alaibe and
Oboku Oforji and Senator John Braibayefa.

The grand plot they claim involves hiring of 300 armed youths from Ugheli
Delta State that will be on standby to support NDPFA and NDDM. They
are to be coordinated by former Minister Godwin Orubebe, Alex Ikiogha
and 5 others.
The communities listed the highlights of the plot to include the following:
· A fake result sheet will be used that will not accept the signatures and figures that supposed to appear on the duplicates and triplicates. The intention is to have fresh result sheet that has been pre-arranged to compute the final results in favour of PDP.
· On Friday 27 November 2015, the sum of N120,000,000.00 has been paid into UBA Plc account at Garki Area 2 to execute the PDP plans.
· The contributors to the fund include but not limited to Dairus Ishaku from Taraba State contributed N30,000,000.00, Governor Okoewa N30,000,000.00 and Orubebe contributed N10,000,000.00.
· Already there are ballot papers at a location in Ogbia prior to the election.
In the letter, the communities call on the IG for urgent intervention to save the ‘democracy and ensure that the voice of the people counts.”
