The home of the acting Chairman of PDP, Chief Serena Dokubo, is under siege. Heavy shooting going on and all efforts to get help from security has failed. The chairman has put out an urgent S.O.S., saying that his life is under threat.

Ward 10, unit 1, Amassoama, Southern ijaw LGA: pro APC youths thugs planning to destabilise and turn votes in favour of APC, no election materials, INEC staff or security personnel in sight yet.

In Oporoma headquarters of Southern Ijaw, Tiwe Oruminighe and Ex-Militant Ogunbos as early 6.30am led thugs to open fire at the local govt to disrupt the distribution of election materials.

The sporadic gunshots led to the death of 4 people as JTF tried to repel the rampaging armed thugs.

An eye witness confirmed that gunshots still rents the air as the JTF has called for reinforcement.

Similarly, reports just coming from Brass says PDP supporters are currently being attacked with guns and machete. The people are calling on the security agencies to deploy more of their men to the area.

Also in Nembe Bassambri reports of deadly attack by thugs aided by military and policemen is currently going on. A member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Princess Ingo Iwowari was also attacked and stripped of all her personal belongings, including cash.

The security agencies should as a matter of urgency deploy more of their men to the area.

Already, five APC thugs have been arrested in Oporoma in the house of a former House of Representative member, Hon. Donald Egbrebi. They were arrested with A.K 47 and other ammunitions in their possession.

In Ekeremor, a younger brother of the Minister of State for Agriculture, Heineken Lokpobiri, who is popularly known as Teco, led armed thugs supported uniformed men dressed in police and army uniform brandishing sophisticated weapons, in the early hours of today, started moving from house to house, especially houses belonging to key PDP leaders to open fire on them. The situation went on for awhile until help came through the deployment of soldiers to the area who brought the situation under control.
