In a latest ambush along Maiduguri-Bama
road, a lieutenant colonel of the Nigerian
Army, has been feared killed when
suspected Boko Haram insurgents allegedly
ambushed a military convoy returning to
Bama after a working visit to Maiduguri
Details of the attack are still sketchy as at the
time of filing this report, however a source
close to the attacked troops said the convoy
slowed down at a bad portion of the road
when insurgents opened fire on them from
a bad portion of the road.
