The inmate beside him was obviously elated having presented with opportunity to pose with the man who has been wining and dining with powerfuls. Meanwhile, he should understand both of them are criminals. In fact, he may even be a "lesser" criminal compare to Dopkesi who has soiled his hands in bloody blood money.
