If no one dies, then it is not a fatal accident. An accident is said to be fatal ONLY if anyone dies. It could otherwise be serious. Thank God no one dies in this one.

From the way the car jumped over the gutter, brought down 2 electric poles, and even destroyed the fence like a bulldozer would, it's certainly a clear case of over speeding. Despite people shouting "speed kills, speed kills". Let those who have ears, let them hear. God help us.

This fatal accident happened today along Adekunle Fajuyi street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, involving a family which embarked on an early morning journey in their Toyota Land Cruiser jeep. According to sources, the SUV vehicle veered off the road and rammed into a perimeter fence of an estate -destroying two electric pole in the process. Hopefully no one died in the crash....

Since nobody died, the accident was not fatal.

We thank God for that.

If it's fatal, it means someone dies. Reword your English.

Not everything is village witch o. Most drivers flaunt simple rules thereby endangering their lives and that of other road users. Though, one cannot completely rule out the involvement of those witches in this christmas period. God's protection is all we need

Guy please check your English. Fatal or fatality means someone died. Saying hopefully no one died seem to suggest you don't know the meaning of the word. Anyway, I hope they are all fine but learnt some lesson about overspeeding

It is grammatically wrong to describe an accident as fatal if no one died in it. The correct word is 'ghastly'. Op and others, please take note.

Could be cruise control malfunction.

Mine had a mind of its own.

It would mysteriously engage itself while you were driving and accelerate to 140kph quite easily if you didn't STAND on the brakes. grin shocked

Had the bloody thing permanently disconnected. grin angry grin undecided
