the midfield happens to be our shortfalls.the Carthage eagles are more compatible as a team than the super eagles.a win can only be possible if amodu and the technical crew can make the players play as a team.

We need to take our football serious. I am comfortable if we face Tunisia with the eagles against Kenya. nsofor should start the game.

Re: Nigeria(0) Vs Tunisia(0) on Saturday June 20th by Nobody: 6:05pm On Jun 20, 2009
for every arm chair critic, there is an arm chair defender of mediocrity

The reason we complain is because we think there are better players

Mikel Obi is not playing well enough at moment, I have no clue how he makes shirt in Chelsea

What we need in our midfield are outright defensive midfielders or outright offensive midfielders and we have loads of them
not a defensive midfielder who thinks he is an offensive midfielder or vice versa.

It confuses the midfield and people confuse their roles leaving the defence vulnerable
We have no John Terry or Ricardo Calvalio so we have to make the most of every player in every department.

I really don't understand where all the pessimism is coming from. We have the best defensive record in Africa in the qualifiers, team spirit is high, competition for places is rife, and the players need the world cup more than we do.  Tunisia had a good team a few years back but have clearly been in the decline.
The least I expect is a draw.

Forget Mikel and Martins for the match, play Vincent.Tell Amodu that he will not be paid
after the match if he loses and that his services will not be needed after the match, and motivate the boys
then the result will be 2-0 in favour of Nigeria

i totally agree with you.mikel is not needed in this match as he doesnt need the super eagles. martins may be a plus. the wosrt result for us should be a draw. anything less than that means end of south africa 2021.
Re: Nigeria(0) Vs Tunisia(0) on Saturday June 20th by kaypumpin2(m): 6:19pm On Jun 20, 2009
Going by Ahmodu's antecedents against the teams from North Africa when he was at the helms of affair in BCC Lions,i think we should scale the hurdle in Rade.
He seems to always have an answer when it comes to these Northern African teams

Mikel is needed in this match. That said , it is hard to be optimistic about this match.

World Cup: Nigeria Make Four Changes For Tunisia Game

High-profile absentees Joseph Yobo, Mikel and Taye Taiwo are back in Nigeria's starting XI against Tunisia on Saturday in Tunis.

Nigeria will start with three of the top stars who were left out of the home game against Kenya two weeks ago, as Everton defender Joseph Yobo, Mikel John Obi of Chelsea and Taye Taiwo from Olympique Marseille all return to the line up against Tunisia later today.

The three players were dropped by coach Shuaibu Amodu after they stayed away from the Super Eagles recent friendlies against France and the Republic of Ireland.

The fourth change from the team that beat Kenya 3-0 in Abuja two weeks ago is right full-back Olubayo Adefemi.

He could not play against the Kenyans because he fell ill just hours before the match. His place was taken up by the Swiss-based defender Yusuf Mohammed.

The starting Xi for Nigeria is thus - Enyeama - Taiwo, Yobo, Adeleye, Adefemi - Olofinjana, Mikel, Kalu Uche - Ikechukwu uche, Osaze Odemwingie, Michael Eneramo
