This is so sad! These babies have a single stomach! As I see from the just one umbilical cord! They share the same digestive system! Separation can never be possible! 1 Like |

I don't think it's operable, but if it is, their parents should take them to OAUTHC |

hezy4real01:I don't thing our God can do this, he can't cause pain and suffering on little children. This could be as a result of lack of proper medical care during pregnancy. |

Edit your title. They are actually called Siamese twins and yes, they could be separated via surgery but definitely not in naija. It's actually a 50/50 thing. They could survive or pass on. I remember very well the case of those Indian Siamese twins who were joined together at the head. They had lived all their lives that way,up to university level but decided to try surgery so they could be separated and get married. Unfortunately, they didn't make it. It's really hard for a parent to bear this... viviangist: |

blaqueoracle: thalidomide isotretinoin (an acne drug) can cause birth defects if women become pregnant within 2 weeks after the drug is stopped. Therefore, women are advised to wait at least 3 to 4 weeks after the drug is stopped before they become pregnant. ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitors angiotensin II antagonist alcohol cocaine high doses of vitamin A lithium some antibiotics like Tetracycline antibiotics some anticonvulsant medications some cancer-fighting medications some drugs that treat certain rheumatic conditions some thyroid medications thalidomide the blood-thinning drug warfarin the hormone diethylstilbestrol (DES). rubella too.... there are also factors that causes deformity other than drugs too |
